If you had an account for a while and you decided to give nexon games a rest and play other games they will ban your account for inactivity.

They don't ban it; they suspend it, which is better than what most companies do. Xbox, Netflix, Google, etc.? They will just straight up delete your account with no way of recovering it, ever. At least Nexon will let you file a ticket to recover your account.

Why was i able to log into an account that last logged into a Nexon game back in 2013? (maplestory?).

I just had to revalidate my email and do whatever. Too bad all my NX is long gone....

they don't ban it, you just need to reactivate it, which I just did since First Descendant Beta, and they require you to change password after verifying using code they sent to your email; heck I even still have all my NX Cash - in which I wish I could trade it to Caliber

Correct. I just reactivated and everything was back to normal.

I'm getting my email boxes hammered daily by letters about fraudsters trying to access my Facebook and Microsoft accounts using my old/obsolete passwords leaked 10+ years ago.

If you don't sign into your Google account in 2 years, they just straight up delete your account, and it is gone forever.

If you don't sign into your nexon account in a few years, Nexon will suspend it. You can then put in a ticket with them, and they can reactivate your account.
