This makes me feel silly for ever buying video games. Other game devs need to take note of this!

Most MMO's suck graphically or cost a monthly sub plus expansion costs, and comparing this game to Helldivers not even close. Helldivers isn't a Looter/shooter, so far this one is a keeper. I was going to spend money but it's too expensive so I will just farm for free and enjoy it as is.

I'm a huge monster hunter fan. Give me one good reason WHY Capcom couldn't make the next monster hunter FREE if this dev can do it.

Because Monster Hunter requieres certain effort to do, First Descendant it's essentially a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ripoff of Warframe, LITERALLY everything is a copy, equipment works like warframe, mods work the same, EVEN THE ENEMIES ARE A CHEAP RIPOFF OF THE GRINNER...

Also, there were some MMO of Monster Hunter that were F2P, sadly Monster Hunter Online left us some years ago, and we still don't know why TF they didn't do an european port.

A new Monster Hunter game is basically an iteration on the same basic formula with a fresh coat of paint. Monster Hunter series is basically the same game.

I don't see the link between effort and a game having to cost money. Capcom could just make the next Mon hun a free game with no excuse.

But the offset is the game comes out with like 4 characters that are $100 to unlock if you want their stronger versions.

Warframe charged more that that when you adjust for inflation. It was like $90 for a frame, a slot, some taters. and some shoulder pads and kneepads.

The difference being that farming for a prime warframe was really easy, the money you could slap down to buy it out right was a shortcut. Also DE, when you buy a prime warframe, gives you platinum for it.

In FD you just throw $100 for less because you don't get to keep like any of the premium currency offered. Its value is way less, but my main issue is this ♥♥♥♥ exists day one.

Because it would be full of pay to win trash.

Id rather pay $70 once and play this game for 1000 hours than have a shop where i either have to spend $500 to play the game or grind for 5000 hours.

No they don't. That's literally the best monetisation model lol. Look at that crap 5v5 shooter Concord coming out from sony. It's 40 bucks and dead on arrival. It would probably have done really well if it was free with mtx and battle pass stuff.
