Started my first mission after the tutorial

I started the mission and before i could shoot anything.......another player had done it.....yay......quit the game, i want to do the mission, myself...i know its an online game, but shouldn't we have the say if we do it alone....if its a story mission? you know?

I am passing on this game, its smooth, looks pretty, but if i can't do the story missions myself, why play the game myself, i may as well just was someone elses' playthroughs on youtube.

If there is a way to do it on my own, please tell me.

well cant you choose public or private while choosing youre mission thingy

Isn't there a setting to play alone? I saw one.

Well, i just clicked on the thing the objective told me to click on....then the mission started.....and promptly finished as completed....

If there was an option, i didn't see it.

you can start the missions as private .. you select before the mission starts

There is an option to play alone ;-)

Go back to Albion if you aren't already there, open the map of the area you want to go to, and next to the area name will be a box that says "Public". Click it to switch it to Private.

Wow, there needs to be tutorial about that....or a popup, cause nothing came up for me.......but this done it, thanks for all the help to those who replied.

the game literally told you in a big fat popup before the mission start that you can set the missions to private. you had to press a button to make that popup go away. sometimes it helps to actually READ whats on the screen right in front of you.

Not for me it didn't, when i am new to a game, i make sure to look for this stuff for obvious reasons, i didn't see it at all.
