It is disgusting, and the more people support this kind of slop, the more we get.
It's also hypocritical too, since I see individuals who post on here (not in this particular thread) whom were antagonistic towards other games for putting up $6-10 monetization things in other games, while they're defending or supporting this type of trash in TFD which has $60-100 things.
You want that Ultimate Bunny with all for Premium, give us $100 and it's yours.
Seriously people, we NEED to let Nexon know that this is enough. Play the game, but don't pay for these astronomical prices. Other companies like League of Legends with their $500 Ahri skin are reasons why this type of nonsense will continue forward, because certain gamers can't help themselves.
There is literally an entire NPC for "Researching" that lets you craft ALL of the characters, you just need the mats and the in-game gold. Half of the normal characters are provided to you basically for free as side missions. Just goes to show you didn't even play the game more than 20 minutes or you'd know this. The ultimate characters you buy come with a legendary skin, and a bunch of other cosmetic crap, you're mostly paying for that, and the convenience of skipping the grind to create the character. It's still hella expensive, but I need to call out misinformation when I see it.
That being said, I usually have no problem forking out $60 (or maybe more) If I'm playing the game lots and getting enjoyment out of it (I've spent almost $200 on The Finals) but when I saw the ultimate premium bundle for literally over $100 it made me not want to spend any money because there is very little value, and of course they do the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ predatory practice of giving you enough credits so you're just shy 25 for a cheap thing when you're basically out of credits, forcing you to spend at minimum another $6 just to buy a $2 thing to use up your currency. The bundles give you "bonus" amounts, but you literally can't use it unless you spend more.
If you are talking about that you need to buy multiple currency packs to get close to the currency you need to buy something that is a different story, but companies trying to trick you into buying stuff is nothing new just as pricing something 99 instead of a 100 isn't anything unique.
Maybe next time before you call something "the dumbest" you might actually want to read where the OP is about.
Why always ride on asians? Blizzards is western and diablo 4 did same ♥♥♥♥. EA sport games had lootboxes before anyone knew what eastern gacha games are.
Why are devs doing it? Cause the consumers already proved they eat it up. They arent unique, they are only following in old laid out tracks.
"Don't pay if you don't want" is true, but for sure the game progression systems will be designed in such a way that your progression is super slow to incentivize buying the overpriced nonsense to make the gameplay experience "normal".
And no you will not get a thank you from me for "keeping the servers up" cause I payed the price by allowing this company to collect information and data on me so they can probably sell that data and make profit without getting some of that bread myself. Instead I'm payed in to be allowed to play their game for "free".
