Yes! This is the exact problem I'm having too. I have tried running on all low, no nvidia reflex no frame gen no dlss and mouse polling to 500mhz, still get absolutely insane stuttering with gpu dropping from 90% down to 30% UNLESS I'm holding the aim button
Working workaround for me is ro reduce polling down to 250Hz as I still had issues on 500Hz...something that shouldn't be necessary in 2024...

Anyway, I did a bit more testing on my end and found something...weird, so it might be a one time thing.

When I started the game today, EVERYTHING was fine, even opening a menu didn't cause issues. Then a friend wanted to play and messaged me through steam. Still fine until here.

I "tabbed out" to start teamspeak, joined and the issue was back there. Holding rightclick (aim) and all smooth, only moving the mouse bringes the GPU utilization back down.

My current thinking is:
The game has in some circumstances issues with properly refocussing.
It is as if the game is in some kind of inbetween state, where it is in focus unless you move your mouse. That it goes back to normal when you aim might indicate that the button press/hold temporarily force focusses the game, temporarily fixing the issue for the duration of the button press.
Why lowering the polling rate can some times be a workaround is beyond me though.
Hmm yeah going down to 250hz helped a bit. Still insane stuttering though especially in boss fights, it must be multiple problems interfearing with each other.

Very frustrating though, as at least with optimisation issues you can turn the graphics down until it gets fixed, here doesn't seem to be much you can do

13700k & 4090 - stuttering even on low settings.

9900k and 2070S and no issues.

Reducing the polling rate improves the problem somewhat, but still does not improve the frame rate, which is reduced in no small part by moving the mouse. The frame rate may be 120 when the screen is still, but as soon as the mouse is moved, the frame rate drops to about 90.

When I turn the camera it FEELS like 30 fps even though it says steady 60 fps it's absolutely infuriating spending hours trying to troubleshoot :exclamation_skylands:

I GOT THE SOLUTION!

Press WIN + TAB and select TFD again,
It works, without stuttering at once!

Game needs to be fixed. But I try to give you a workaround that worked for me. Assuming you met the hardware requirements. When that happens try to alt tab the game , then go back to it. Should work

13900k - 3090. Everytime I turn the camera or shoot the framerate goes from 90 to 8. It got worse, at launch I did not have this that often. Now it's constant.

With the 500+ posts on this issue and the 200k+ responses saying the same thing -

Its your Intel CPU. All Intel 13th and 14th Gen CPU's have a big flaw. You need to Flash your BIOS within your UEFI Boot menu.

Some others advise Underclocking your CPU and Turning off XMP as well.

Its neither your Graphics Card, The game or Unreal Engine 5 (UE5). UE5 exposes the Intel Processing flaw.

I have 12th gen and get the same problem, even seen people on even older cpu's get the same problem

Dam that is crazy so you just ignore the people saying they are using AMD then?
I have a RTX 4090 and a AMD 5800X3D. the game lags to hell even in the menu before loading into the game world when moving my mouse around fast
