I'm still playing it even though it crashes on me 3-4 times each day. It's easy for the developers to claim that there's a discredit campaign trying to bring the game down. I enjoy this game so far, but I got stuck with the real DPS checker "Pyromancer" and the Windows crash events make me angrier and angrier. My PC may not be top-end, but an i5-13500 2.50 GHz with 32 GB RAM and a 4070, Windows 10 My Nvidia driver also updated. it should be more than enough to play this game. My power supply is 800W. I never overclock anything, and I have an anti-surge protector to make my PC run for 4-5 years more.
I run most of my games, even Cyberpunk at full settings with the new ray tracing mode, without any problem. So, I want the developers to check what is happening with their game.If people still keep blinded protect the Dev with that Discredits campaign, I'm starting to wonder if the discredit rumors might have been started by the dev team themselves to protect them from any crash reports they can't fix.
And please stop saying, "I run it fine, it never happens to me," etc. It always happens. When a new game is released, it may have critical errors on some systems. Many games that I play without any trouble crash for other people. This can happen because PCs are not like consoles; the specs and conditions of each PC are different. That's why crash reports need to be paid attention to.
What i looking for is Dev to looking for it "Fix it" or Someone who know well more than me to answer "How to fix it?" or "What i must try to fix it?" so i can enjoy my grind and salt without worry it will crash my machine. So I can review it base only game content not critical bug.
Found my fix. If anyone else is having similar issues please try referring to this link: https://www.dexerto.com/gaming/the-first-descendant-easy-anti-cheat-not-installed-error-how-to-fix-2804642/
In short, I had to delete and remove my previous Antivirus software as even though I added the game and EAC to the exclusion list, it was still being blocked (i guess) not too happy with having to do that, but after updating Windows Virus Protections Exclusion list, I was able to run it fine. I'm sure I'll have another issue shortly, lol but glad I got through this one
Also, key point: My experience to get this game to work is not hurting my thoughts on the game, I'm merely a guy that like video games and when one doesn't work, now I got to fix it. So all this talk of Misinformation or campaign or whatnot is dumb. Gonna try playing the game and make an informed decision on a free to play shooter!
