İstatistiklere Bak:
stuck at 6% Install and 0 B/s Write speed
is it just me or others are experiencing this too?

EDIT: this is weird.
>i pre-downloaded the game yesterday even launched it just to see it works (maintenance notice pops in seems working)
>launch hour (40mins ago) game started downloading the release updates
>installing file stuck at 6%
>tried to force close steam
>re open then says missing file game files around 96% i forggot
>game re downloads and installs still stucks at 8%.
>tried to pause and resume still same resume 0% write speed
>noticed my ram usage is around 7.9gb to 8gb (my total is 32gb) kinda weird cause my idle usually around 4gb
>chrome is suffering from sudden buffering for videos or loading pages
>tried to restarting pc. restarting screen is stuck
>forced off my pc (by hitting the power button)
>re check my ram 4gb usage
>opens steam again
>missing files again
>resume downloading
>already at installing phase still stuck at 6%
>RAM at 8GB usage again
seems like the pre-download file is broken causing my pc to throttle or something
>also SSD at 100%

ill try uninstalling the game and downloading it on different SSD hopefully this fix

UPDATE: : i redownload the game working now
it seems the pre-download files are issues in some pc like mine

I have this exact same problem, every time there is a patch doesnt matter how much is it 100-200mb it gets stuck on install at 6%, they time remaining to complete the install goes to 1 year and more, i have to re-download the game again and all its okay, im getting tired of installing 40gb game every X patch day.
You dont instal the entire game each time, it's literaly writen that Steam is reorganizing the files.
It does the same things in most game.
6% for 20 minutes and it doesn't even move. This has never happened in any of the games that I play and this is getting very annoying lol

It's a known Steam issue. Cancel your download, clear your download cache from Steam and ensure the drive you're installing the game to has more than double the free space available as the game requires.
Same with me, stuck at 6%

Partially, for most people it's because they keep on installing modern games on conventional HDDs and cheap DRAMless SSDs which do not get the expected performance once you have to copy large amount of data, which is exactly what SteamPipe does when patching packaged chunks.

The OP got stuck at 100% usage on an SSD, and you can bet their Read/Write performance was in Kilobytes/s.
Which is a telltale sign of DRAMless SSD.
I don't know if this will work for everyone, but I paused the update and started checking the integrity of the game files. This unstuck the update for me.
I hope it helps.
having the same issue

I did the "recheck your files" or what its called and then it worked

Tried this and it instantly fixed it. God advise.
Just got this exact issue. Validating game files didn't work either. Solved it by clearing download cache: Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache
I also get the same issue and have to reinstall.

Hey, I get the same issue with every update stuck at 6% during installation. Just let your PC work, don’t worry. If you close Steam and reopen it, you’ll have to re-download the entire game, so definitely don’t do that!

Note: If you don’t have enough space on the disk, it’ll create on another disk with space, and that will take forever. Go to Steam / Settings / Downloads / Local Network Game Transfers and disable it.

I have/had the same issue. Game always gets stuck at 6% with apparently no network or disk activity. However after 20-30 mins with zero movement or activity the game miraculously completes. So as frustrating as it may be to not see any progress, be patient and it should sort itself out in the end. I hope this works for everyone; I was at my wits end trying to solve this and wasted countless hours cancelling and reinstalling the game/update.

Edit: Just noticed DannSKiller's post above and he's all over it; just let your PC do it's thing and Steam should sort itself out in the end. Also you may want to disable your power saving settings if you're not going to be actively using your PC while you wait.
