One word, Nexon.
Actually looks like an updated Vindictus with guns and mechs.
So likely hood of this game ending up in the same hole as Vindictus is 100%.
Nexon. This will end up just like all their MMOs. Just another corpse in the Nexon graveyard.
You guys have been warned and you've been here before.
But for some reason you keep giving Nexon a pass and then cry about it when you realize its another Pay2Win, cash shop focused Nexon game.
What can I say...I got a lot of money to burn.
Ah. One of the whales keeping Vindictus alive. Kudos to you sir.
1. They are nexon. They dont have good reputation. Many of their games are dead on arrival.
2. The map and movement still look generic compared to the movement in games like warframe or gun combat of destiny, so I also have low expectation
3. The progression, endgame and real money item is not yet clear.
If this is launched a few years ago nobody will care even if they put a bunch of sexy girl in bunny suit. It is very generic for Korean game or mmo. It is their well known character design. But we all know how bad western politic pretty much corrupt everything it touches and make everything looks ugly and claim it to be "realistic".
you are very naive to believe this generic Asian looter shooter will become super successful.
Naive? Hardly. I just know basic market trends and the current state of the gaming industry. Despite the mixed reviews, It's currently topping the steam charts with 200K+ players. Top 3 for Best Selling and Top 10 for Most Played on Steam. The game is already a success.
The question you should be asking is how long will the game be able to hold onto its success? Personally speaking: It just needs to refine the gameplay issues, fix the technical bugs and keep the characters looking sexy and/or cool looking.
Video games don't need to be innovative or groundbreaking in order to be fun. They just need to be solid, and what's being offered here is pretty solid.
