i can see why the game is hyped and i also understand your reasonings
yet you people seem to forget that most p2w games started out being alright. especially in regard to the grind and p2w.
then they slowly become worse.
As i said people seem to forget what happened in the past over and over again, because they only ever seem to remember the ending.
that is also why people can be manipulated so easily.
Also another big reason why the top % with actual power over others view the general population as dumb. its so easy to manipulate them.
you dont need to respect them, just pretend to respect them and what they want. they dont really get anything anyways.
By the time you realize whats going wrong they already made their money back and then some. and when they release their next good looking game it will be the same story again. surely the 101th time will be different, right?
But unlike some other games ie:Warframe, it will be easy for a new player to figure out how to play.
These are the best targets to collect some easy money from!
People which are not the brightest bulbs in the room and dont manage to understand other games.
How would they possibly be able to understand what's going on in here before it's too late?
I also think its a silly notion to say it is purely manipulative and they don't care if things shut down. They do care, for their very goal is to find a sustainable model that becomes a good source of consistent income for their buisiness.
of course there are always fundamental issues from the start!
but they are on an acceptable level to most people.
That is why it is such a miracle that Warframe did not become worse over the years.
For example they start out with some amount of timegating, and an acceptable level of grind, but over the years even when you do your dailies almost every day it becomes hard to keep up, as seen with Lost Ark for example
or they start out with RNG based enhancement systems and over the years the chances drop down while the grind for individual taps increases
and yes of course they want to sustain the game if it is possible. but thats the story for every p2w game. normally they become worse when the playerbase dies down.
Reasoning being that they want to make the same amount of money from less players.
That is where the milking begins until almost no one is left anymore or the game shuts down.
p2w increases while at the same time the quality of the updates becomes worse as they try to counter the loss of players
