They do you a favor: starter packs' value sucks in 100% cases, the only really valuable one was in Planetside 2 a decade ago But don't worry, $60 Ult skins-characters and a semi-mandatory $24 upgrade for every character and weapon to the rescue

Totally depends on how difficult getting one ends up being and even if they take a few weeks to earn it shouldn't be that big a deal. Initially we might end up being short on them for a while since we've got so many Descendants from the get go. But if played consistently and we're caught up we only need a new one whenever a new descendant comes out. These things are really going to start piling up in our inventories.
