Disk Write Error

Been trying to download the First Descendant Pre-Release and I get a "Disk Write Error" on the last 3% of the download. Anyone else having this issue?

Try verifying the files by right clicking the game in the library, going to properties and then verifying. It should resume to download.

Tried Verifying Files. Says all 183 files verified, but its still showing as download is not complete with about 2% remaining. Each time I click resume it starts and fails with same "Disk Write Error". Even tried restarting Steam. Still not working.

We are pre-loading an encrypted archive which will take a lot of time to decrypt and unpack after the release. Up to 1 hour on non-M2 SSDs.

Wait for release and re-download the game after it

basic checklist but, do you have enough space on the disk in question ?

Well, I guess I had to uninstall and completely delete all the downloaded files as well as delete the previous Beta clients. After restarting my PC, it was successful in downloading and installing. And yes, I had plenty of free space (540 gigs). Guess it was just a bad download.

if you manage to load it launch the game check if you get "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument." like some of us do.

I also have this problem but I never played the beta or anything. I uninstalled then reinstalled same error. Integrity check says everything is fine.
