Somehow I believe it's way faster to work in McDonalds for few days and then buy it for $60 than "earning" it during months-long in-game grind - like it's usually done in Korean games

Thing is, i don't believe it'll be that long a grind. Looking at what they've put out so far, you can earn any one thing within the span of a day. Now ultimates i'm sure will take a little longer but it should still be within a range where you'd enjoy your time playing for them. Not much different to an MMO without P2W grind wise.

not sure how many hours should be put in 'playing a day' but IIRC some part in the amorphous relic are 1% drop, the amorhpous material themself needing to be farmed (some devs screen show 25-100% drop rate if you activate all difficulty modificator, they didn't share how long in average this mission is so i can't run any number for that)

but even if you have all the key you still need to open them

quick 'bad case scenario' to drop the 1% part give you 229 try (to reach 90% chance of the part dropping at least once) even if you use shaper to double drop you are still at 113 try.

a 5 min fight (+ loadtime +picking the loot and restart the fight) would put you at 10 hours of key opening alone with shaper, and 20 without.

with the time you need to first drop the key, then kill the colossus you are looking at way more than a day, though agreed i used a pretty bad luck scenario. but a day is still pretty optimistic IMO.

I'm just saying its not as bad as some people make it out to be "Months and years!"

A couple days to a week is still way off from what those guys are suggesting. Not bad for a F2P.

generally agree with this as it matches my rough numbers. Seen alot of people talking about getting stacks of descendant and not having to use the starter choice and can't use the starter choice in hard mode etc. Based on the numbers you'll be using your starter choice and bunny(assuming you grab here since shes free). You'll have to use them well into hard mode before you can farm out other descendants in a reasonable time. Sure people will get lucky but the majority of peopling going to be running starter and bunny for a good while. People who spread themselves out trying to build muti-descendants are going to struggle. Current best option is to focus on starter or bunny but even more importantly guns. Assuming mastery stay the same as tech test you do NOT want to slot your descendant as you'll stop getting mastery xp. You should be able to slot weapons which means thunder cage going to hardcore OP for awhile. Going to be interesting to see if any of the other legendary weapons are really worth using for farming.

Im buying Valby right off the start. From what I have learned today is that Valby boosts both Bunny and Viesa in dmg output. If they are hit with a water skill the dmg from Cold and electric is boosted quite alot. Second choice will Enzo.....the Ammo Dealer.
