...showing just how much potential it has.
The negativity is because of the publisher, but they already listened to player feed back and removed Gatcha paint from the game, and the game isn't even out yet. So I think they deserve the benefit of doubt. The game is also free to play, so you lose nothing by giving it a try.
Thats a valid POV and a positive way to show them its your wallet, not theirs.
Who has already made up their mind?
it's F2P so no reason not to try it and see if you like it.
If i were to take charge of a game and monetize it my goal would be to earn as much good will as possible. Making people feel good about spending on my products, because they have been respected every step of the way.
Once you learn to tune it out, you can make your own informed decisions without unneeded fluff.
That can be said of the vast majority of games. Games have formulas, and they improve or mix up things that have already existed. To avoid this you can play quirky, small indie games but you'll not get anything like this by a long shot.
One could firmly argue that playing games are generally a waste of time. It is a pastime. Something to pass time...But as long as you're having fun, it is time well spent.
Each individual will need to decide for themselves how much time, if any, is worth devoting to any game. I typically think if you have to ask, you might as well try for yourself. (its f2p after all)
This is a silly question, at best. As a title, it seems more like typical pot stirring that people do on steam. The game isn't even out, so how could it already be a flop? But I know that people obsess over these concepts, and I'm sure we will have nerds spewing non-stop updates in threads regarding the conncurrent player counts.
I'm sure within the first week there will be posts about how the game is "dead" because it doesn't have as many players as GTA. I'm sure people will show how during some times of the day, the population is lower than others. DEAD GAME will be all over the forums. But that won't mean anything.
If we were to be serious about the question though, we'd have to wait a few months to find out.
