saw a lot of honest reviews of this game on youtube. what they basically say about the game/nexon

What Nexon tells you:
1. upcoming popular game, get hyped
2. a range of hot women
3. a lot of cosmetics
4. a lot to do as a looter shooter

What Nexon doesn't tell you:
1. online only which means you can't play sometimes cos server maintenance. you can spend thousands of dollars on cosmetics but eventually you cant access the game anymore. theyll eventually shut down server
2. you gotta pay for every bit of cosmetic. you cant buy the whole costume. you gotta buy all the pieces separatly. you also gotta buy the colorz separatly.
3. everything will be expensive
4. some content will cost money. dlc etc
5. there is no support (look into maplestory). there might be support when u get issues like missing content, but they wont care.

It's online only because it's an online game like Destiny, Warframe etc. All online games eventually close.
Cosmetics are in almost every online game. You don't have to buy it
Yes DLC content costs money in every game
There's no support because they were playing a beta test

im not really for locking content behind a paywall, but people will pay.

However, if i can get all upgrade resources in game easily then i don't mind paying for DLC. If they decide to make it a pain to grind upgrade resources and at the same time charge you for DLC. Then im not going to be a customer, but there will be people that enjoys that sort of abuse.

Your first game. Welcome to gaming! Games tend to sunset after a time. Especially "online" games. Really bites when it's a game like Marvel Heroes. Huge update than... closed. No warning at all. That's how things go from time to time. I don't think I've ever played an online game that didn't sell some sort of cosmetic. Aion had actual P2W gear for pvp. You bought stats. Cosmetic with no stats are just cosmetics, nothing "P2W" about it. Pay to look..."cool"? As for DLC costing money, that's pretty standard. To get DLC fo free is kind of a rarity these days, and also kind of a red flag. Free content typically isn't well done. There are of course, exceptions to that, but for the most part, free means a quick chunk of content that has little to no thought put into it. Easier to make an issue of paid DLC's that are less than desirable. Hard to complain about free. Everything will be expensive? Not everything needs to be purchased either. Impulse control. Something you'll learn in time. For now, enjoy learning about gaming. Hope your first game is exciting as the rest you try!

ironically u talk about games closing and maple story which just had a huge scandal is still running. vindictus is still running. seems like alot of nexon games are running a decade+ later. i remember maple story 2 closing but honestly it wasnt that fun to play. games that are actually fun stick around. do u think companies panic like OP when their customers might get knocked off.... no, they find more. just like as a gamer, if a game disapears, u find more. are u posting in destiny 2 threads about how dare they stop making destiny2???

This looks to be a pretty strong breakdown of the cash shop, from what we've seen from the tests and info from steam back end.

They're not selling you separate costume pieces, you can buy sets if you want with all included, but also separate helmets, hairstyles and make-up and the like. Its not like they are selling you costume pieces that are meant to be together separately.

Also i highly doubt they are going the paid expansion route, given their inspiration and direct competition doesn't this would put them at a huge disadvantage.

The only thing that has me concerned here is the price of the energy activator for doubling your mod capacity sitting at 25$

you are naming 2 ang ignoring the dozens they closed .... though i'll agree that most of them are mobile trash game.
did a quick list in another thread (only for released in 2019, because i only have that much motivation to check nexon trash) and most of those game closed in 4month to a years.

small detail but here unlike warframe potato don't give double capacity, you get 20 more. (base being 50 at max level + 20 potato + 10(15 with polatiry) from subweapon mod)

Nexon control all the MTX in The Finals and:

- that game is only online. no server downtime
- you have to buy cosmetics. they're the most reasonably priced/earned-in-game cosmetics in the genre
- they are not expensive
- this applies to like, 99% of games right now.

One of the character upgrade materials is 25$ of which you need 1 for each character. Depending on how difficult these are to obtain this could be obscenely scummy.

from previosu beta drop rate was 1% from some world map mission, no info about any higher level content giving some (at least wave type mission and the infiltration with modificator don't show any in their loot table). so it's probably going to be pretty rare and annoying to farm.

i guess the only hope would be if they do regular event where you can get some like warframe does (Lotus gift after every devstream + from night wave and some alert)

I do so hope they balance it out a bit. I'm going to be annoyed by a gate keep like that. The issue for me was alleviated with trading in Warframe. Wonder if buying a character comes with them fully set to gear, not requiring the item anymore.

only the full ultimate pack (5000caliber so 100$) come with reactor + 1 forma, others don't.
