The N word is right there… with the same 2 letters. But go ahead and believe what you want to believe.
"gg" is a term that every single player in every single game uses. It means "good game" and it's used when the match ends, independently if you win, tied, or lost. The match ends, "gg" on chat, and everyone goes home, is this simple.
Stop trying to attribute some fake unrealistic knowledge and spread misinformation just because you can do it. The thing is... They banned "gg" for some reason, nobody knows for sure why, EVERYTHING in this thread is pure expeculation based on nothing.
PS: Rated "M" for mature.
Dude I know it means Good Game, ive been using GG since my Quake III, Unreal Tournament and CS1.3 days. What I was stating and it is true, is during the CSGO time it flipped over because of cry baby gamers and toxic gamers determining it to be an insult or using it as an insult.
Re-read what I wrote, your assumption was off base.
No, what you are doing is accusing, blaming, and attributing the responsability on CS:GO for why NEXON banned "gg", and it's completely idiotic. I could list a lot of games with an extreme toxic community that also says "gg" at the end, why not those other games? League of Legends, DotA2, Fortnite, PUBG, Overwatch, Overwatch 2, TeamFortress 2, CoD and Battlefield, but no... CS:GO is the reason.
Can you prove and backup your statement? Can you show here NEXON saying something like "The reason why we blocked 'gg' was because of CS:GO" or anything that backs up your statement? No, because it wasn't. Stop blaming random games and companies for wrongdoings of others. NEXON banned "gg" for a reason you don't know, stop assuming stupidity.
EDIT: The correct term is 'gegz' now, let the plebs know that they're awful and they'll always be awful, no matter how much they whine about it.
Last reply since you are just changing goal posts to keep arguing. CSGO players are the reason for GG being censored in general. Not the reason NEXON decided to. Learn to Read.
For the record, the word Censorship in this game is atrocious, which is an understatment.
Blocked and Reported.
Edit: Simple google search and the first 3 pages indicate that GG censorship started around 6 years ago at least. While youre still able to type or say it in most games, they do suspend and ban accounts in various others for saying it or repeatedly saying it. This includes GG and GG EZ variants.
Bro using GG as a sarcastic insult has been in all forms of PvP since the dawn of PvP gaming. We used to say that ♥♥♥♥ to each others faces at arcades playing Mortal Kombat. CS:GO isn't the reason it's banned in all games, corporate culture and normies embracing video games as a hobby is. Not that it's even banned in all games. Most games really don't care if you troll each other, since that's literally what the point of PvP is.
False, the GG (not saying the full Good Game) didnt start until the early online gaming in the late 90's, along with many other annoying quip phrases. No one was saying GG in the arcade days, absolutely no one, because we had brains that werent searching for limitations. In arcades we would say Good Game, nice game, sucks to suck, youre bad, etc.
Saying GG was faster than typing it all out because mics and VOIP services were barely a thing. Back then it was almost never toxic.
