The system of paid seasons and content hidden behind destiny 2 transactions has definitely put me off the game for 3 years. I have so many fond memories of this game, especially the first one.

I mean, there is a good reason why there is a good paragraph for this situation: Mimicry is the highest form of flattery. I can not call The First Descendant a clone of Warframe, it does things that most certainly ARE similar but, gives a new take to it. It is aspects of Warframe, The First Descendant is also using, that I call the mimicry.

I would say throughout Warframe's lifespan, community has held A LOT better perception of the game and developers of the game (yes, there most certainly has been lows and highs there), than Destiny 2's community's views of the game and the developers.

Will the community of Destiny 2 jump into The First Descendant? Well, this depends on individuals who make the decision and what decisions the Bungie will take, regarding their game. It is NOT a perfect mirror but, something to keep in mind, which is Destiny 2's development history and how the game has been handled from launch.

It doesn't look too good for Destiny 2. Can it pull a 180? To that, I can only respond with, maybe. After all the Forsaken dlc was well received but, with the future actions from there, Bungie, kind of has undone the good will of the community, and maybe a little bit more.

Destiny offed itself years ago, went from having 10m+ concurrent users on a daily basis back in 2015 to having less than 300k now, and most of these people play it simply due to nostalgia considering that apart from botched raids the game didn't receive any meaningful content for years.

TFD is a Warframe competitor more than a Destiny one but many people me included will definitely try to replace both of these dead games with this, or upcoming games like Pioner or Ashfall.

Seasons are the sole reason Destiny went from a masterpiece to an infinite cycle of content recycling and predatory tactics. At least they didn't ruin the original game with this ♥♥♥♥.

this lol, why on earth are people comparing TPS like TFD and warframe to destiny 2? there's many third person looter shooters, what makes Destiny 2 unique is that it's FPS, it has no competition in that aspect

Im assuming the OP is asking if it will replace it for them, as these games are very different. And the answer depends alot on what you find most appealing about Destiny 2

Im eagerly awaiting this game myself after playing the closed betas, I found it really fun with some unique mechanics. It was quite bare though back then, hopefully all this new stuff and story content will make it more lasting, but we will have to wait and see
