ReWASD needs to go. Roller aim assist on KBM

I see a lot of posts about hackers, but I don’t think a lot of people here actually know what people are using. Coming from Apex, I’ve played with a lot of Master/Predator players who all have used a program called ReWASD to obtain controller aim assist on KBM. This also works in The Finals as a lot of my Apex contacts are now playing The Finals.

The sad part is some of them genuinely believe they aren’t cheating with laser beam tracking due to this program, reinforced by the fact that none of them have ever been banned on Apex Legends for using it and many of then are 10x preds. One of them said to me that The Finals aim assist is stronger than Apex, so that’s probably why you’re all getting beamed.

Not to say there aren’t actual cheaters, but ReWASD is going to make this game unplayable for any real player if they don’t start to block or ban its use for giving KBM aim assist.

It would still filter out the majority of the controller players, most are on console and most pc players who use controller for the aim assist arent going to install more software to hide that. Some will sure but getting 60-70% of the pool out of our hair is better than nothing

i think, at least on steam, the filter works for console players, you can still be playing on pc and playing against people using rewasd and stuff.

Completely missed my point

I know SOME players on steam will use controller or rewsad, my point was MOST don't. Having some in game match making option to only play against people using kbm or controller will help alot. No you will never 100% only play against this or that, cheaters and loop holes will always exist but having some method of matching you fairly based on input is better than none.

Separating by platform, or giving a turn off crossplay option is pointless. It should give the option to match based on input not platform

Your missing the point, your only spreading it to people who didnt know about it and would use it. The devs already know about it and either cant do much to stop it (most cant its hard to detect from what i understand vs whos a legit controller player thats just really good) or they are just fine with it and dont care. Either way they already know so spreading the word only adds to the problem, not the solution

What do you mean "devs can't do much". It's a software that allows to use THEIR aimbot,
they just need ditch aim assist.

.Some people admit the aim assist is so strong they use an actual controller over their mouse and keyboard. Not to mention console people get it. What's good for the goose is good for the gander and all that.

If console people can have a literal aim bot it's not fair PC people can't have it too!

In a perfect world if you disable cross play on PC it should remove aim assist completely. If you have cross play enabled though you should be able to use aim assist regardless of platform. It's the only way to ensure it's fair for everyone.

No rewasd IS the bigger problem. Good aim assist with a controller (or aimbot as you call it) is still less of a pain that aim assist with a kbm, plus rewsad does more than just enable aim assist dude. Bringing ANY attention to rewasd on a USER forum and not in a private dev support ticket (the proper place to report issues to devs if you want them to see it) will do more harm than good.

That is the point here and its a fact, this entire thread might as well be an ad for rewsad at this point. Cause thats all its going to accomplish, getting that program new users.

the focus on crossplay and console is stupid and pointless, console has kbm mouse players too.

Aim assist is fine for controller all we really need is the ability to only match with users based on INPUT device. Then it doesnt matter if its console or PC you wont match with controller users unless you choose too. Problem solved (mostly, I know software exist blah blah)

They would have to remove aim assist completely on PC, which I'm all for. Just making it so controller users play with each other means reWASD mouse players would be in console lobbies.

I don't see removing it as an issue. If you're on controller while on PC, you have access to gyro and flickstick as aim options thanks to Steam controller configs, and both combined are viable against mouse. There's no reason to have aim assist enabled for PC controller users in a competitive FPS.
