I have played for quite a while during Seasons 1-2, and here’s what I have to say:

At first, everything seemed amazing!
✅ Fast loading times – Wow, faster than Tarkov!
✅ Smaller maps – No need to run through endless forests!
Bots don’t one-tap you in the head – Wait, they actually do!

But… once the game stopped feeling new, my account hit level 30+, and that’s when the nightmare began:

Major Issues of the Game
❌ It’s hard to make a profit unless you’re a pro player with a full squad of 4 friends.
❌ PAY-TO-WIN, PAY-TO-PLAY – this is where things get ridiculous! In Tarkov, you buy once and forget, but here, you have to pay every month for storage, camo, and literally everything! The pricing is insane – €200-300 for a storage container. If you don’t have a high salary, you literally cannot play without spending money.
❌ Developers only care about money – I received an in-game email: "Leave a review about the game!" I thought, "Nice, I’ll write about what can be improved." But no! The entire survey was about money! "How much are you willing to spend per month?" "What would you spend it on—camos or currency?" Not a single question about actual gameplay. Disgusting!
❌ Bugs take ages to fix – feels like a low-quality game.
❌ They promise one thing, but always release something paywalled.
❌ The game is flooded with cheaters, especially those with Chinese characters in their names.
❌ Even in hardcore modes, rare loot drop rates are abysmally low.

Gameplay Hell
🔻 You will die to campers in bushes, naked runners, thermal scopes, red ammo, and cheaters.
🔻 Constant reports if you play well – If you’re not a bot, you’ll get banned.
🔻 Rare loot is so rare that getting anything valuable feels like a miracle, but the market value is only 1.5 million (enough for 6 cheap gear sets or one thermal scope – which isn’t even enough!).
🔻 Players are constantly frustrated – I know several friends who deleted the game out of pure rage after another unfair match.
🔻 A top-tier player I know won 70-80% of the time, yet even he kept quitting due to cheaters and bush campers.
🔻 Your survival rate is around 30% at best, meaning out of three matches, only one will be profitable.

Why didn’t I quit earlier?
I love hardcore games. To survive, I spent hours studying tactics, crawling in stealth, and improving my skills.

Why did I quit?
☠ Once I started dominating (3-4+ kills per match), the reports started flooding in.
☠ Players got salty because I killed them in worse gear, and that was enough to get me banned.
☠ First, I got 1-day bans, then a 10-year hardware ban.
☠ I can’t create a new account, and my old, heavily invested account (worth over 60M in-game currency) is permanently gone.

🔴 I never used cheats!
After researching forums, I believe I was banned for using AutoHotkey, which I only used to rebind F1 and F2 keys (since I have a small keyboard, and the game doesn’t allow custom bindings).

☠ Another possible reason? Using advanced movement tricks – but everyone does that!
☠ Support is just bots who don’t care about evidence or fairness.

Final Verdict
🔥 I suffered, wasted time, tried to improve – lost everything.
🔥 Spent $1,200-1,400 over 1.5 years – got banned with no refunds.
🔥 Honest players can be banned for no reason – there’s no point in investing.
🔥 Thousands of negative reviews from people like me – no one ever gets unbanned.

👎 The game is built solely for monetization, developers don’t care about the community, and they ignore any suggestions to improve the game.
👎 No balance updates, no real fixes – only more ways to push microtransactions.

Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Obviously, Steam made no sense, but AutoHotkey was running (it launches with Windows – I use it to remap F1, F2, and F3 keys because my keyboard lacks them). However, I had played with it for over a year without issues.

I went through every match, every possible case, and explained everything. I asked support multiple times what exactly triggered the ban. I was ready to explain anything, but all I got were the same automated responses, clearly written by a bot. 🤖

I tried reaching out through other channels, but it was pointless. 🚪❌

🔥 Conclusion
This isn’t the kind of game where you can reach out to support and get a refund if you feel cheated or banned unfairly. Nobody will investigate your case or compensate for your lost time.

And to those calling themselves “pro players” and saying, “You just suck” – I’m happy for you! At 40 years old, I still have a long way to reach your level. 😉

Everything I mentioned above isn’t just my opinion. During my ban, I visited many forums, Discord groups, and spoke with plenty of people who aren’t happy with this game either. Yes, they still log in occasionally, but they don’t deny its issues.

🧠 muteallchat is one of those loud, toxic trolls who jumps into every thread just to pretend the game is flawless. According to this creature, there are no bugs, the devs are saints, and if you’re not enjoying the game — it’s your fault.

They defend the game like their life depends on it, mock anyone who reports real issues, and act like Arena Breakout is some divine masterpiece. And of course, they haven’t even spent a dollar on the game but will attack those who did.

Hello folks,
i just wanted y'all to know that ABI is probably the most underrated game at this time.

Why I say so? Well, firstly, because I do have 25 years of gaming experience and I rarely came a cross a game like this. And, secondly, because most people don't understand at all what it needs to make such a good game or how it is played nor what is crucial for a good gaming experience (based on real facts, not only personal impressions).

Also:
a) People don't understand how to play this game due to the fact that they don't understand its basic mechanics and intentions (and most of them never will - due to multiple causes [uneducated, emotional, strong confirmation bias, etc. pp.]) and compare them to Tarkov, which is a fundamentally different approach to an extraction shooter. Tarkov is all about experiencing pain, over an dover again, whereas ABI obviously places comfort features above all to eanbale the player to play competitively by having all kinds of quality of live features.

b) the devs are listening to the community closely. look at the patch notes. you can easily recognise that the devs even undo changes in the final version on the basis of community rejection and not only beta feedback (this is how a real feedback loop works ins softwarte development - most companies never do this - just look at batllfield 2042). also, basically every regular player can get an invite to the closed beta testing -> no restrictions for a good beta group sample size.

c) you have replay cams and you can actively use them to report suspicious gaming. I did this about 6 times until now and 3 of my reports proved as valid as they obviously checked them manually. they even gave me ingame credits for this and another gift. that's how you manage an internal reporting system - just great! you have to understand that this is really work and cost extensive to do and I don't know any other game like this that is factually living this feature.

d) most people cry about the game. yeah, paradoxically that's good news. they cry, because they want tarkov pain - instead they get a visible map and visible team mates (not like in fckn tarkov). there's all kinds of quality of life features that make life significantly easier and the game more competitive and smooth to play. this is precisely the right approach for any game that is beeing programmed to be played with satisfaction and not by pain - which menas you use psychology behind it the right way. these attributes simply show that this is a gem in development. hence, most people cry because they are bad players and/or stupid and/or annoying/trolling persons, taking everything personal, beiing unable to reflect on themselves and others in a bigger context (which is a huge general psychological problem of our time).

Let me be very clear: This game is insanely well done! (I don't get payed or anything to write that here - i rarely even write comments.)

If this game is beeing released on Steam, the currently shrinking player base problem (natural problem to any such software) is going to be solved forever and the game is going to rise to the olymp of extraction shooters, 99% sure.
