Scavs or Players? Confusion!

One can almost always tell from the movement alone if a SCAV is controlled by a player or not. However, I have noticed on 4-5 occasions, players, kitted as operatives, moving like SCAVs. They walk in straight line to get pinged on the head. I have gotten dog tags for killing them too. Another strange thing, they are always in a 4 people squad. Always.

Is there something I don't know about? Are there SCAVs that are dressed like players?

yes, it is to fill the match when there is a lack of players! They usually have terrible loot and a lot of medication

Try to copy nickname from dogtag and add to friendlist. You'll see that no such player exists. That means it was a bot.
