Cheating Problem / Cheat Report System Is Garbage
After playing this game for quite a few weeks now, I can say with full confidence, this game is currently, and will suffer all of the same problems Tarkov does.

It is clear as day most matches have cheaters in them, ranging from the accounts being run by bots with just a pistol that can't even kill the other bots to lower their stats and reduce risk of getting caught, all the way to the giga chad decked out m4a1 drum mag level six armor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, who can't even survive with all that kit without their aim bot.

The main point of this post however is to caution anyone who expects any good to come from the report system. It's all smoke and mirrors, or blatant incompetence on their part. It simply does nothing, does not work, and is pretty much useless.

As of now, I have submitted over 30+ reports, and even with the understanding SOME of them may have been lag or server hiccups or some other explainable crap, it certainly wasn't ALL of them. Most reports I have put in were clearly people cheating their ass off. Only ever received 1 compensation reply from the security team and it wasn't even a report I filed.

What's worse is I've heard talk of posts getting removed and possible bans on other sites, of people trying to post their footage proving cheating is occurring. Which is just mind numbingly dumb and promotes people not speaking up about their experiences.

Until this game adds a PVE mode, it's going to bleed players just like Tarkov was, and the only thing that might slow that down a little is that it's free to play. Honestly that doesn't really make the experience any better. It's still VERY frustrating to basically work 3/4 of a match, just to get taken down by someone who was watching everyone on the map in the killcam and then just turns to you and gets an instant headshot. With iron sights. From far away.

The salt in the wound is having this detailed report system that does clearly, literally nothing.

I uninstalled the game yesterday, not because of cheaters (I only met 1 blatant cheater in the 100 or so games I played), but because of the sweaty fully geared lvl 30s going to Farm or Valley specifically to stop noobs like me from doing anything to progress in the game. Another reason I quit is Covert Ops, I enjoy Covert Ops but I don't want to wait 10-20 minutes every time i finish a match. Sometimes I die a minute in, or I escape quickly because I got extremely injured, so having to wait to go back in makes me quite annoyed, but I understand why its there, just annoying is all. I'm not a good player by any means, and the only "Extraction Shooter" I played was MW2: DMZ...and I wouldn't really consider that much of an Extraction Shooter.
I agree with the PvE thing, a PvE wouldn't take much time to make for this game, the maps are good enough, and the AI is...bad enough for players like me to enjoy bullying them in maybe Solo or Co-Op, but probably best to just keep the stashes separate or something. Until they add a PvE mode, this game is effectively dead. Might just buy Tarkov and its PvE, since that seems like a much more enjoyable experience than this game. In all honesty, MW2: DMZ bots are more enjoyable to die from than the sweaty noob stompers or cheaters this game is full of.

That's another valid point, and I thought about including it in my original post. You should not be able to come across level 30 fully geared players on NORMAL Farm, the beginner map. I go to Farm to have a fun time, and not feel like I'm playing this game to give myself a chore.

I use budget kits ranging from 150k and below or just the quick kits. Yet you'll run into players who look like they queued into Lockdown or higher, going to Armory. Meta FALs and M4A1s like I mentioned above. Then they just proceed to steam roll the map. I came from Tarkov and until they added Ground Zero with the level cap, this happened over there too. I'm surprised ABI didn't learn from their mistake and do that from the get go.

Normal mode maps (or at the very least Normal Farm) should have some kind of level or the very least, gear score limit to ensure new players have a fighting chance.

This is where games like Tarkov and ABI seem to be lacking. There's not enough systems in place to ensure people get to play the game and not feel like they are wasting their time. We don't play games to stress ourselves out, we play them to have fun and enjoy something.

Also, placating to the top 10% of players is a horribly STUPID idea, that these games keep making the mistake of doing too. You need to make changes and updates with the main / casual players in mind, they are the bulk of the playerbase. Their experience needs to be considered more but that rarely seems to be the case. I say this even as someone who doesn't consider themselves a casual. I've been playing Tarkov for nearly a decade it feels like, along with the other extraction shooters that have popped up like Hunt Showdown.

yup ya right
i met bunnyhopping cheater yeastraday.
i reported it but nothing happend.
i guess its really easy ban that cheater.
same thing happend few times.
its seems DEV team only reaction when many ppl report at sametime.
this is cheaters heaven.

Gear and ammo is to expensive for cheaters to just kill you , and when the so called compensation after banning cheaters is a scam as well and we actually never get any money or gear back i feel like the stupid one to keep playing... its like 300k kit gone every time
Meliora_Grand Dec 16, 2024 @ 4:40am
That's part of why I only play with budget kits. I like to do it anyways for fun to see what I can come up with that's cheap but effective, but also I know the risk is too high right now.

If you watch videos of people showing off the cheats in ABI, they can even see what you have on and what the worth of everything on you is. You're basically making yourself a target if you go in with expensive kit.
RaideR Dec 17, 2024 @ 12:52am
You know what
I'm actually noticed, if i got budget scar with cheap lvl 4 armor it's OK, I killing or getting killed, but it's looking legit, no problems
But when I'm trying to wear my gigachad outfit, I'm getting hunt down like a rabbit, no matter what, even by the covered players with weird ass legs legshots or arms armshots 1 sec screen of death
The other day me and 2 of my mates went full on lvl6 armory run, spawned, wipe 2 guys with quick kit, and then dude showed up with 338 3 shot we dead, and when you watch replay, he knew what's going on
Been playing EFT garbage bin years back to know how you placing a mark on your back by wearing something expensive
Wonder tho, is there chaeter in every game and they just let you live, or they specifically connecting to geared up players
Meliora_Grand Dec 17, 2024 @ 5:18am
It depends on each individual cheater I suppose. You probably have some that chase geared players to kill them and steal their kit, and then you have some that probably just avoid other players so they can maximize the loot spawns.

In videos I've seen of cheaters, they tend to just keep track of everyone on the map including the bots.
Meliora_Grand Dec 17, 2024 @ 9:20am
Rainy is absolutely correct and again this is part of the reason why I run budget kits if I do sit down to play the game. Anything more is making you a target to anyone in raid that is using cheats. Not only will they find you but they will kill you way too easily.

Also another good point was brought up, DO NOT spend any money on this game. As of right now they do not deserve it. It sucks to say because I wanted ABI to be a healthy Tarkov competitor but it just is not right now. They didn't even learn from the mistakes that BSG has, with no protections on the starting levels for new players and lack of a PVE mode.

Systems in this game are certainly geared towards making you feel like you should buy the in game currency. Which in of itself is an issue as IF I RECALL CORRECTLY, there was a time where the devs were saying they wouldn't do that, and then they did it anyways.

it is. there are already people using bots to sand bag accounts and make their stats low to sell them later to people who want to use cheats on a separate account. tarkov has the same issue. people will go in to raids with nothing on them and run around doing nothing to pad their stats and have a low k/d and low survival rate so when they use cheats the account doesnt look as suspicious. they use an automated ai to check reported accounts. if the account has low stats the report gets ignored. if the account has a high k/d and extraction rate then they take a look at the account.

Yea this is kind of what I have been talking about. The report system just doesn't work. Even if an account gets to the 'under review' point, it doesn't feel like real people are checking these. If they are, they are doing either a TERRIBLE job recognizing the cheating, or as was said in Rainy's post, they are trying to minimize the awareness / feel of how much cheating is actually going on.
