I agree with the PvE thing, a PvE wouldn't take much time to make for this game, the maps are good enough, and the AI is...bad enough for players like me to enjoy bullying them in maybe Solo or Co-Op, but probably best to just keep the stashes separate or something. Until they add a PvE mode, this game is effectively dead. Might just buy Tarkov and its PvE, since that seems like a much more enjoyable experience than this game. In all honesty, MW2: DMZ bots are more enjoyable to die from than the sweaty noob stompers or cheaters this game is full of.
I use budget kits ranging from 150k and below or just the quick kits. Yet you'll run into players who look like they queued into Lockdown or higher, going to Armory. Meta FALs and M4A1s like I mentioned above. Then they just proceed to steam roll the map. I came from Tarkov and until they added Ground Zero with the level cap, this happened over there too. I'm surprised ABI didn't learn from their mistake and do that from the get go.
Normal mode maps (or at the very least Normal Farm) should have some kind of level or the very least, gear score limit to ensure new players have a fighting chance.
This is where games like Tarkov and ABI seem to be lacking. There's not enough systems in place to ensure people get to play the game and not feel like they are wasting their time. We don't play games to stress ourselves out, we play them to have fun and enjoy something.
Also, placating to the top 10% of players is a horribly STUPID idea, that these games keep making the mistake of doing too. You need to make changes and updates with the main / casual players in mind, they are the bulk of the playerbase. Their experience needs to be considered more but that rarely seems to be the case. I say this even as someone who doesn't consider themselves a casual. I've been playing Tarkov for nearly a decade it feels like, along with the other extraction shooters that have popped up like Hunt Showdown.
yup ya right
i met bunnyhopping cheater yeastraday.
i reported it but nothing happend.
i guess its really easy ban that cheater.
same thing happend few times.
its seems DEV team only reaction when many ppl report at sametime.
this is cheaters heaven.
If you watch videos of people showing off the cheats in ABI, they can even see what you have on and what the worth of everything on you is. You're basically making yourself a target if you go in with expensive kit.
I'm actually noticed, if i got budget scar with cheap lvl 4 armor it's OK, I killing or getting killed, but it's looking legit, no problems
But when I'm trying to wear my gigachad outfit, I'm getting hunt down like a rabbit, no matter what, even by the covered players with weird ass legs legshots or arms armshots 1 sec screen of death
The other day me and 2 of my mates went full on lvl6 armory run, spawned, wipe 2 guys with quick kit, and then dude showed up with 338 3 shot we dead, and when you watch replay, he knew what's going on
Been playing EFT garbage bin years back to know how you placing a mark on your back by wearing something expensive
Wonder tho, is there chaeter in every game and they just let you live, or they specifically connecting to geared up players
In videos I've seen of cheaters, they tend to just keep track of everyone on the map including the bots.
Also another good point was brought up, DO NOT spend any money on this game. As of right now they do not deserve it. It sucks to say because I wanted ABI to be a healthy Tarkov competitor but it just is not right now. They didn't even learn from the mistakes that BSG has, with no protections on the starting levels for new players and lack of a PVE mode.
Systems in this game are certainly geared towards making you feel like you should buy the in game currency. Which in of itself is an issue as IF I RECALL CORRECTLY, there was a time where the devs were saying they wouldn't do that, and then they did it anyways.
Yea this is kind of what I have been talking about. The report system just doesn't work. Even if an account gets to the 'under review' point, it doesn't feel like real people are checking these. If they are, they are doing either a TERRIBLE job recognizing the cheating, or as was said in Rainy's post, they are trying to minimize the awareness / feel of how much cheating is actually going on.
