The maps are boring for sure. Frankly the lack of imagination that's gone into both Tarkov and ABI where level design is concerned is personally frustrating. I would like to see environments covering a number of different biomes and inclement weather as well. The thing about being a mercenary is it involves travel all over the world because there are conflict zones all over the world, so why isn't this replicated in games? No desert, arctic or jungle maps for instance in either of the aforementioned games, simply urban terrain in nondescript regions.
If the torso, head and groin are all fully or partially protected but the legs are less protected or entirely un-protected then the perfectly splendid thing to do is shred them with 7.62, wouldn't you agree? You can claim it's "not being good enough" all day long but in point of fact it's actually the smart play. Now if the devs decide to introduce leg protection then of course the meta will change but it's still likely to be a focal point in combat to thoroughly reduce enemy mobility; it's much more difficult to run away if your legs are covered in bullet holes.
