Don't think it ever had SBMM. You could be level 5 matched with a level 70.

okay i understand and i just had my first raid and i got automatched with another guy who was level 2 it was very easy run on farm we did not encounter other players so my question is: you got pvp players in your first run allready ?

I think not. Its the first raid. However even if you have the best gear, there is a chance that you get killed with an unlucky shot or shots to the legs, so its not worth it to bring good gear to a beginner mal like farm/valley in normal mode.
