you worked really hard to get good weapons with cool attachments and then the fun pvp starts
if that's boring, If pvp with good gear is boring, what do you call when u hit max level on World of Warcraft, your character deletes after 6 months and you start grinding again from level 1 ? autism ?
So PVP with good gear on world of warcraft is boring, but grinding one hundred times from level 1 with common gear and doing the exact same quests 100 times is fun ?
when you unlock all the weapons and roles on Battlefield, Rs6 , CS2 is there progress reset ?
When you unlock all the tanks and upgrades on WAR THUNDER is there PROGRESS RESET ?
THERE is no Wipes on this games AND YET THEY are still ACTIVE after decades without becoming boring
Even tarkov on release will make one account character without wipes, you will work on your hideout, invest in it, upgrade it, train your skills , saving ammo and weapons and you will run to have fun PVPing on raids, chasing pmcs in Dorms ect...
so Wipes is the only reason im not buying Grayzone warfare and ill be hoping that Arena B,I, will not have wipes
Exceptions to rules don't disprove rules, scout.
Like you said, have good gameplay core ("loop"),and, as with any game, add content at a steady but reasonable pace, you're good to go.
"hard resets" nothing fun about it. Prestige systems or something like that, I understand. Resets just for resets....nah I'm gone. We'll see.
I
Me too! I want to grind, I want to progress, I want to keep my stuff. Simple as that. Plus, as a side note, apparently "Once Human" is doing resets/wipes. Already so many are disappointed and leaving, even alot of people I know stop playing the game. Majority of people (like me and you) want to keep our stuff. We want to grind of course, progress, and prestigeing is even fine. But having progression reset on purpose for (what I believe) is no purpose other than doing the same exact content again, nah.
Grinding also gets boring faster, specially when you know it will be deleted, than max lvl pvping.
Gladly, the developers on Reddit confirmed there won't be wipes because they don't want to alienate the fanbase that invests a lot of time in the game. As pointed out above, lots of prominent games in this and adjacent genres do not have wipes and are doing just fine (Hunt, etc.) The wipes are also the reason I quit EFT - as a man with responsibilities, I can't afford to waste hundreds of hours to get what I have already got because the devs are incapable of coming up with a progression system that would last.
Yeah clearly you are too small brain to understand basic game mechanics and player retention and gain. You tried to make a post sounding cool but outed yourself as a dumb angry kid.
your profile is private but i am 100% sure you play jungle in dota 2 , farming neutrals and grinding 95 minutes without pvp or ganking
you play football with a wall
you play CS with bots because your Testosterone Level is SUBZERO
This is probably one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Do NOT compare games like Battlefield or CS2 to games like Tarkov or ABI. Compare games that have items to collect, compare games that have a goal that is set, or a progression system that ends once you have mastered it. Games like Minecraft, Terraria, Core keeper, and other games. Have you ever played a game like terraria or minecraft and decided to restart? decided to make a new world or a new save to challenge yourself again? This is what wipes do. They create a new, fresh environment where everyone gets to create a new save file to challenge themselves once more.
Player retention in games that wipe is very high due to the freshness of starting over, with nothing. Games like rust, DayZ, and ARK. They have to wipe because what is there to do once you have accomplished everything? Games get VERY boring when you lose objectives.
No wipes have been performed yet, nor are any planned. Thanks to morefunstudios!
