4060 r7 7840HS here and same stutters/freeze even in firing range. FPS are good, no microstuttering.
The game is unplayable like this.
What is strange I didn't had this problem on the first day of the beta...i was really smooth back then.
maybe a U problem? or if a scav joins....if its after 10 min after map starts.
And it seems they don't even try to fix it.
Use Process Lasso or another method to change CPU affinity on the game to only use your p-cores, cut out the e-cores entirely.
This is only for 12th / 13th / 14th gen users, so if you don't have those lines of processors, don't bother trying this.
I do notice when the stutter happens, the Drive's Response time which the game is installed goes up. Even in SSD's And also when the stutter happens, the GPU Utilization goes down to 4-10%.
So I'm guessing it has to do with your Drive's Speed.
Because I do notice with some streamers they get stutter less because they have
WD Black M.2 NVME (7000 Mb/s) in their systems
-UNPARK your cores. Hiccups happen when your system is trying to utilise/open more cores as game needs them. This is when your game stutters for half a sec. I had same issue having i9 13900k 4090 and 96gb ram@5800. Seems like this is due to some kind of optimisation issue for multithreading?
This helped me a lot from 100 hiccups on my "scav" run while just trying to extract I dropped to 1 random stutter in over 20 min game.
Quick guide to unpark your cores (I DO NOT RECOMMEND using 3rd party programs):
WINDOWS KEY + R -> regedit -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> HIGHLIGHT "CurrentControlSet" then Right Click and FIND -> "dec35c318583" but without quotes.
Look for "ValueMax" it should be set to 64 I believe -> double click and change the value to 0 and exit regedit.
Restart your PC and enjoy lag free game.
You can heal my Ligma later.
