I have lost 20 mill of gear so far , i would never consider doing it my self after..... yesterday when a guy did it to me after i deserved his loot after a fight , body gone.

so i have willingly lost 20 mill in gear to cheaters etc and u expect me not to alt f4 my self in the coming future ?

It's the Tarkov equivalent of insurance. If an enemy has taken your teammtes gear than you looted your teammates stuff, not the enemies. If you notice next time there is a small icon on the items that are your teammates gear.

So if you extract with any teammates gear it will be returned to them via ingame messaging. ABI does not clearly explain this but it is not a bug and actually helps greatly with RMT/teammate griefing as they can't just molle you and take your loot out.
