Arena Breakout: Infinite

Arena Breakout: Infinite

-rep could have been good if not owned by Tencent
The game looks promising, but I did some research and I'm curious about what ya'll think.

Per IGN, Tencent Games has published 18 released games.
(Including ABI as it's being played even though it is not 'released')

6 are mobile clones of already popular IPs.

3 are PC clones of popular IPs, but Tencent re-released them for China.

4 mobile games that take away from their credibility. A chess game, a Counter-Strike: Source copy, and 2 League of Legends copies.

So out of their 18 published and released games, only 2 mobile and 3 PC games seem like successes without relying on an established IP.
Ring of Elysium: Shut down after 5 years for not being profitable.
Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast: A known gacha game.
United 1944: Opened to Early Access within the last 6 months, has potential.

So that leaves Arena Breakout and ABI, maybe these game will be the first reputable games under this publisher.

Fair point. But I don't think hate the whole game jus cuz a company. If someone made the BEST game in the world that you LOVE but then you find out the WORST developer made it would you still play it?

My opinion from the facts above, it looks like Tencent does a whole lot of monetizing by making games for lesser focused player bases while ensuring their games get a jump start by branding with pre-established IPs (sometimes fully legally, sometimes through scummy means)
But sure... Arena Breakout Infinite will be the first time they do something themselves instead of riding someone else's wave.
Side note: from their 'successes,' they pulled the plug on Ring of Elysium within 5 years; United 1944 only opened up to early access a few months ago, and I'm writing off the other two because I'm a POS that thinks lesser of mobile games. [/quote]

Yes this game is another trash clone, and it will be p2w and basically a lobby game before long. The people ♥♥♥♥ riding this game are coping fcking HARD. I've been playing for a few days and it is BAAAAAD. These are people mad about Unheard edition (which I did not buy that ♥♥♥♥ is a scam). But to think this crappy Tarkov lite is gonna keep anyone's attention for more than a couple weeks is laughable. A lot of the problems with Tarkov are still there, including the rubber banding when about to enter PVP, frame rate drops by 30 when you zoom in your scope, ALREADY CHEATERS ZOOMING AROUND LOL, not to mention game crashing, pc crashing, and bad stutters/freezing at times. People are so desperate to replace Tarkov and stick it to Nikita they are willing to endorse literally ANYTHING, and what you end up with is another ripoff game.

Re-read the post. I was talking about games they have published, not purchased. I intentionally excluded the subsidiaries that they purchased because it's already a long post and it would only further emphasize the point that they are riding the waves of other people's success.
LOL came out in 2008, Riot was acquired by Tencent in 2009.
POE came out in 2013. GGG was acquired by Tencent in 2018.
Do better research; they didn't make good games. They bought things that would make them money.

Also Funcom, Riot, Techland, Klei, Yager, Epic, Bloober, FromSoft, Ubisoft, Paradox and many others. Oh, and don't forget Discord.

Not to mention asking how many games Tencent has developed is like asking how many movies Warner Bros has directed.
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Repeating random sound bites from random sources in random order won't make you sound smarter.

Imagine playing a Tencent game, its always a copy or p2w
