Saw that this is on sale and thinking about buying it.

Just wondering about how long does it take to beat the game?

Also, does it play well with keyboard and mouse?

I think that mouse lets you aim/move in more than eight directions, but I'm not sure. I played using keyboard only, and I enjoy it just fine.

Beating one instance of the basic game, at difficulties other than easy, should take you 10-20 hours, maybe a little less if you're familiar with the high difficulty of Ys bosses from playing Oath. (I usually hear 10, but I definitely took about 20.) Each of the three characters, however, does have a different story, with the unlockable third character having the technically canon one. They each fight some different bosses.
