Ys Origin SAV Music Mod

Trick-or-treat! Today I'm releasing an old pet project from about a year and a half ago. It replaces certain tracks in the game with their Super Arrange versions, set up to loop properly in-game.

You can get this release of the Ys Origin SAV music mod here. Instructions and details are in the enclosed .txt file, but it's not difficult-- all you need to do is copy the files into the game's BGM folder.

I vaguely remember personally testing all of these tracks, but it's been a long time. If there's any weird looping problems or otherwise please let me know so I can fix it.

If you liked what you heard here and are also into a certain other Falcom game called The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, I also just released my SAV music mod for that as well! You can find that over here.

Hiya, Quint. They're already looped in the sense that if you put them in the game the game will loop them properly (putting in OGGs that aren't set up to do so will only play once, and finding this out is how I got the idea to make this).
For Ys Origin in particular I didn't need to cut the songs in order to make it work right.

Oh, I just like to listen to the loopable OGGs from the games themselves, on smooth infinite looping. So I was wondering if this was it. I'll check them out soon, thanks!

Ohhh jeez, what audio player are you using to do that?
I use foobar but I didn't see an option to make it read the metadata and play based on that. There's probably some user-made component out there for it that I didn't see.

I don't know how to do it in foobar2000. Maybe there's a plugin for it but I haven't looked hard enough yet.
