Question about Mask of Eyes item

In Metroidvania games, its common to have secrets rooms or itens in every little corner of the game, so, about the Mask of Eyes items, I have to use her in every room to find secrets, or its useful only on story progression? I'm on the second part of the tower I think and I found anything with her, so I decided to ask if its waste of time equip/unequip the mask on every room (it what I have done so far)

Boy am I glad someone asked this, anybody know where that chest happens to be?

The chest is only with the third character; for the other two, it's a switch that enables you to get the Roda Fruit in the Guilty Fire area. The place in question is the screen just before the one with the moving platforms (just before the first boss of the area). Just before the transition to the platforming area, there's a red symbol on the ground, and you're meant to use the Mask of Eyes there.

It's a bit overlooked because Yunica, at least, can just use her Wind skill to bridge the gap without much issue, but I think Hugo needs the Mask of Eyes. Third character (with the chest) I believe needs to come back for it a little later.

There might be another place in Silent Sands, where there are long invisible bridges over a sand-ice pit. Or something. I don't really remember because the last time I did it was with the third character and he's fast enough to float across the whole room.

Ah yes, you are correct. The chest with the Evil Ring, I believe. Same sorta deal, different with third character (chest not present), and Yunica can reach it without the Mask, but Hugo appears to need to use it.

I seem to recall you can stand on top of the north doorframe as a stepping stone to bypass the bridge. It's pointless, but amusing.

Yep, that is possible for Yunica, but Hugo I think needs the double jump to do it that way (which is just a tad further in the sand area, if memory serves). It might be useful in a speedrun setting (if only just a little, to avoid subscreen visits), but yeah, otherwise pointless.

Oh boy, this thread is old. And like an idiot I missed it because I didn't get it that the red eye meant that.
