I'm not aware of an SP glitch. If you're already at the end of the game on Normal it doesn't take all that long to hit 500k -- just crank out 100k or so at a time between other stuff. Higher difficulties penalize you enough that it'd be faster to just bullet through to the end on Very Easy than attempt to do it where you are, and you're likely to be going at least as far as Guilty Fire on Very Easy for the optional Kishgal fight.
Hugo probably has the easiest time with arenas, what with constant ranged damage, overpowered shield, and the best Burst by far.
Ah, thanks for the tip about roos.
The glitch I'm reffering to, according to the sources, allows you to transfer the sp gain ratio from arena to the normal game, but I can't seem to find out how you were supposed to redo it. It'd be pretty helpful since I only have save datas on nightmare and even if I could speedrun it, I don't feel like replaying it on very easy. I suppose if there's no way I'll eventually get to it.
Arena just annoyed me since even in its later levels I'll still need to beat it a couple of times for the ex characters.
As for the SP bug: I heard it was fixed. You probably have to replay the game with each character on a low difficulty.
