Ys Origin
Anyway to modify exp table with cheat engine?
I've been trying to modify my exp so that i can reach the max level for my toal "nightmare" run!
but everytime i put, say "1976" and hit next it doesn't show up, the address list becomes blank!

i've tried putting, 4 binary, all and even float.
what am i doing wrong?

i'm a filthy casual

Just modify your level. You can use multiple save states to find the address.

What I did was changed my HIT modefier so each enemy kill gets you tons of EXP.
For me the address as of right now is yso_win.exe+317198

Each time you hit an enemy, it adds a hit to your hit counter and you get like 1% EXP boost for each hit. I set my hit counter to 100000 and it gave me 1000% experience gain. hit 60 in no time.
Exp & HP are float values. Don't forget that the fastest way to find the right address for your game is to do your first search with current Exp, kill something and do "next scan" with the new value. Repeat until you're down to 3/4 and amend those to different values to see which one reflects your Exp in game. Now trying to sound douchey, but even with the tutorial, it took me a while to figure out what I was doing with CE.

SP is 4 byte if you wanted to edit that too.

Yes, you can. Just search for your TOTAL exp, not current.

it's quite simple, works like every other game..
search for all and put your current exp, kill 2 enemies, open the menu again, look for the next value, put into cheat engine, click next and modify the values to like 9999999

Pretty old thread, but you'll have more luck changing character level directly. Stats go up accordingly. I did it because I'm going for the Yunica outfit (even though I admit it still feels a bit like wasting time).

I am sure that info will be useful for OP about 8 years after creating this thread.
