The statues you purify allow you to save by pressing the attack button when facing them.

I know this is going to come across as really elitist, but I have to ask; how old are you? Have you never played a game with save points before? Because it's pretty obvious that the statues are save points...or at least do something special worthy of walking up to them and trying to activate them. Again, sorry, just curious how out of touch I am with people.

No, I was just curious, there just wasn't much of a way to make the question sound nice. It's better that you ask than not, I was just feeling prickly I suppose.

I assumed that they were like waypoints from Diablo, because that's how characters talk about them in-game. I further assumed that the game would have an auto-save, perhaps each time you get to one. I don't think it's that unreasonable to, in this day and age, assume that a game will auto-save, or at least save when you quit, OR at LEAST warn you if you're going to lose progress when you quit.

I'd be less annoyed if you could skip cutscenes, since at least the gameplay is satisfying enough. (At least I can shift-tab while they run.)

Btw. I assumed the statues were fast traveling points (as pointed out). NOT save points.

There are three uses for the statues: save, buy upgrades, and fast travel to them using your crystal.

I also assumed they were waypoints, like in other hack'n'slash games. Good thing, I didn't get too far to regret a replay

I played the game for 4 hours and then exited without knowing about the statues! Still, it seemed like a good game.
