Toal's path
Man does his combat suck. His first skill is terrible. Worst of the 3 characters so far for me no doubt. First boss had me retry so much lol

I don't see the appeal in him at all

His speed gives him a higher skill ceiling than the others. It takes some adjustment and explains why beating the game once is mandatory to unlock him.

On the subject of speed why is there a blessing for 500k increased movement speed that seems to be pointless? By the time you complete the game either you bought just that or a bunch of other stuff. Even if it's good I just don't see how people would have it for anything worthwhile in the game other than the final boss

In my other two playthroughs I unlocked everything except for the 500k one and was level 50-51 when I beat the game. I saw there's a trophy to get all blessings so I might grind for that blessing but again don't see the point. I heard max level is 60 but again what would I need it for exactly?

I'm dying on every single boss. With Hugo I beat them all first time due to the experience I had on yunica learning the patterns. For some reason toal does no damage and takes more damage. I hate that boost resets at the start of combat especially with him since it's a main arc of his character supposedly

Yunica = normal mode
Hugo = easy mode (that's a FACT!)
Toal = "This is where the real game starts" mode

You got filtered by claw man it seems.

Toal's first ability is his best one half the time, and better by itself than Yunica's entire arsenal. Have you just not noticed how many iframes it gives you?

You beat everything on the first try with Hugo because he has an overpowered shield and continuous ranged damage in a game that frankly isn't balanced around either of those things.

I mean I'm on the last boss again but the point is I didn't need to grind with Hugo and with toal I have to stop and grind cause every boss kills me first attempt. Yunica was different because I was still learning bosses moves. However I know their moves with both Hugo and toal. I guess Hugo is just easy mode as you say

As for toals skills the electric one seems good for certain enemies but yeah the first one is probably the best overall. The fire one we'll...I only used it to light torches where as I used yunicas firebird all the time (tbh I used all of her skills equally)
I found myself leaning heavily on Yunica's firebird for many of the later bosses since it gave me a ranged attack. However I've noticed that top players tend to use more close-range attacks as her.

I haven't played Toal yet.

And zava reminds me why I hate toal. I thought it was bad on yunica but how do you knock her down. All my attacks keep missing her no matter how many times I jump or aim. This is the most frustrating part of the battle

At least my playtimes have increased lol

Yunica 12 hours
Hugo 7 hours
Toal 6 hours

You're supposed to attack her when she has that dark aura around her and summons those things on the ground. She can't dodge if you hit her in the middle of that attack.

And Yunica's the easiest character to knock her down with. Just smack the ground directly below her with a charged thunder hammer when she's vulnerable.

Ah I see I was trying to just knock her down outside of that. Succes rate was like 1% lol

Because you are not supposed to buy that blessing, it is just there for you to grind and do achievement, and only used if desperate to cheese on boss like Dalles, meaning the one should benefit the most from that blessing is Yunica since she is the slowest of all (Toal got Wind and Fire, Hugo got the Wind shield and his burst to move quick), and Dalles is her nightmare to fight against. Try playing Yunica vs Dalles with and without it and you should see night and day aka "tortured" and "OP" experience. I bet you will cry for it on Nightmare and his 3rd phase but in the end blessings are ineffective in NM run as well

Toal does not suck, it is just you who struggle because of the lack of experience, play more.

Toal was the strongest character of the three (not counting that specific version of him). He has Wind and Fire magic that give him very fast mobility plus great invincibility (don't forget the dash attack as well), then there was his Thunder charge that can suck HP from mobs making it an easy play for tower exploration. Not to mention his extra deals crazy dmg, and his burst can Kamehameha anywhere you want it to be. Remember how desperate Yunica fight was at Dalles? Toal would make him his b*tch.

That being said, in order to show you're a tough guy, you have to fight tough *ss bosses as well. Toal' first boss is literally a high rank Knight, that can stand equally against Zava, do you expect it to be tea-and-chill like Vagullion? All Toal bosses are designed fair and square that give you 50-50 chance of winning, with a bit of exception for the very final one that could be tricky with RNG and time limit rushing. Yet whether to tip that scale into your favors depends on your patience, observation, your reaction plus the proper strategy and your ultilization of your magics. And if you has mastered him then he should be the fastest one to clear the game, the time attack, boss rush, and so on. You did see the faster clearing time already. Oh and his fight against Kishgal is truly a high-spirit adrenaline rush battle.

To sum up again, just play and practice more.

Actually I found other bosses harder than the ones you mentioned

You've probably figured this out by now but Toal's godspeed magic ability is quite a bit different from all the others in the game. It's less of a damage dealing option and more of a fast movement option (with generous iframes) making it very useful for extending your normal attack combos, moving around stages quickly and closing the distance on bosses during moments of vulnerability.

I used it to get some invincibility tbh but 90% of the time you don't need invincibility XD

Hugo is my fave character I prefer him cause he can just kill everything from miles away before they even touch him
