[Solved] No sound with Nahimic 2 audio software

TL;DR: If you have no sound, check if Nahimic is installed and uninstall it.

Posting this in case anyone else ever has the same issue.

I had no sound in Ys Origin on my MSI laptop, with all combinations of sound settings, running in administrator mode and compatibility mode, with antivirus disabled.

After looking through what processes were running and could conflict with Ys, I found my laptop came pre-installed with Nahimic 2, software which purports to improve audio quality but actually just globally applies trashy effects in complete disregard of the sound designers' intent.

After uninstalling the offending software, the game's sound is fixed.

i have headphones with mic.
LG ultrawide monitor with only 2x HDMI port
GPU Nvidia 1050 ti
and after running the game sound didnt worked or i get messange that i dont have any audio output
tried so many thing ... found that my GPU think my monitor have speakers .. ( unchceck that ) and it didnt solve athing ... reconecting headset does nothing
bought new cable with HDMI/DVI conectors doesnt worked to

after a month i found that nahimic stoped working while launching games and uninstaling that solved problem

maybe it will solve problem for more games that i dont have. but you could have and they didnt work properly

It helped me with some games with no sound.
I have a MSI PC and nahimic 2+ game preinstalled with the computer. After an Update i had no sound in some games, but not all. I lived with this annoying problem for well over a year and tried fixing it multible times with going trough my drivers and updating everything i could find. Only today i tried this method and it worked. You can´t believe how happy i am.
Games this method helped with:
Green Hell,
Borderlands 2,
Fallout New Vegas,
Railway Empire,
Transport Fever,
UBoat,
Dragon Quest XI,
Anno 2070
and a few more.
