PSP version differences

I've tried the PSP version and I've noticed some bonuses (like the story before the beggining of the game) is this possible to get this as a bonus DLC (like in napishtim) or are there copyrights/incompatibilities with the PC version?

Why didn't they include the content? I know that the PC version is still the supperior one but this would've made it the definitive one overall...

They'd have to pull off a Chronicles+ and essentially backport the PSP version to PC. What we got here instead is the original PC release.

You'll have to ask Falcom themselves. But this isn't a new thing for them. Ys 8 is in the same boat.

No, but PS4 version has content that isn't on Vita. Same thing with PSP and PC Felghana.

That's normal if the PC and PS4 are supperior than the handheld

I should clarify that the PC version is the original release (not the port), and got various updates to make the English PC version, while the PSP version is the port that just happened to add voice acting and (I guess, according to OP) some extra story bits.

I think PC Oath stands fine as is but yeah it'd be nice to get the extras.

I've verified some days ago and yes there's a short sequence for the story before they go to Felghana

Yeah, I know. PC Oath is what I played back in 2006. PSP is a port of that with some small extra features.

If I have to be perfectly honest, though, those extra features aren't really worth it. The PC version feels and plays far better.

EDIT: The reason I said backport is because that's the case with Chronicles. They just backported the PSP game back to PC. It isn't COMPLETE.

Japanese VA?
This reminds me an awful lot of the history of Fate/ Stay night, but at least that got a community patch to add the VA back in, in the End. Wouldn't something like this be possible here as well?

A fan patch exists for Felghana that brings over about 70% of the voice acting from the PSP version. It was never finished but it's still pretty good. You can have either the english or the ♥♥♥ voices with it.

Sad that it did get abandoned, if i understand you right.

You understood correct. The patch was never finished. As far as I know no one has tried to pick it up afterwards.
