Sujimon and resort bundle...
Has it been announced what this is yet? is it just extra stuff for the minigames to reduce the grind?
or have Sega gone full wacko and locked the minigames behind a paywall like they have with NG+ (I wouldn't put it past them considering even blood is a paid option in Total war.)
They are always so vague with their DLC descriptions.

I'm also interested what the "Yakuza cd collection" is.

Might be the same as in LAD 7. Different songs to listen to in the bar. I remember using the Jukebox there.

AFAIK you can also listen to the songs while walking around Hawaii.

fair enough, seen a few people on reddit that seem to think you get sent a physical CD though lol.

Japan release of 7 had a walkman where you could take around the city. I guess it may have been buggy because we didn't get it. So the CDs were completely worthless. You had to basically do nothing to listen to them because everything would interrupt their playing. You couldn't talk to a friend or they would shut off. In the demo for Y8, the song is in the background from the jukebox even during a main story scene. You can hear it outside the bar even. It's vastly improved. I read there's a phone app too. Which is great and I hope affects the fight music because the fight music gets pretty stale after awhile.

Given the rest of the DLC is basically following the same formula as last time it's a pretty safe bet it is - most likely it'll be a bunch of characters from previous games available to hire in the management mini-game (I'm not sure it reduces the grind as such; from what I recall of LaD the cards were basically the same as those already in game, so it's largely just cosmetic).

cool, I could live with that. I would be happy not paying an extra $50 for extra characters. lol. Could buy a whole extra game for that money. Just don't want to risk missing out on the actual minigames themselves, loved Sujimon in 7 and the animal crossin type game looks fun.

the cards/employees were the highest ranked and were definitely cheat items. There's some very specific employees you have to get either through recruiting on the streets or getting lucky from the hiring rotation that can work on some of the max upgraded properties. It didn't drastically change the game except maybe make it 10% faster to level up early.

IIRC, they had them at every level up to Legendary, and all of the Legendary employees were overpowered, even the one's without the DLC. The only real difference is that the vanilla Legendary characters required you completed certain side quests or mini-games to unlock while the DLC characters were dumped into the recruitment pool as soon as you got the DLC. So they kind of bypass the recruitment quests, but equally you could unlock a couple of the vanilla legendaries before you'd actually unlocked the management mini-game itself depending on the order you did the sidequests.

yep, in the gaiden demo you could use all your unlocked songs on the portable player, gonna be really nice, way better implementation than any of the prev games, so if the song selection is good that's gonna be a real treat... i hope rare drop koi koi comes back though lol.

yeah it wasn't like the k2 construction game where the cards/employees were so OP you could run through the entire thing in one sitting.
