For instance, I earn $325 monthly, I get a $10-15 bonus if I'm lucky enough. The lowest price I saw was around $125 (that's West Siberia for you). Some of them scalpers even go out of their way to charge you for $160. It's ridiculous.
So yeah, SEGA being greedy is upsetting, to say the least. By setting their prices so high they also encourage scummy third-parties to rip you off.
I don't mind working a few extra months but I feel sorry for those who can't wait to play it.
I agree with you completely. The only thing I would deviate from is the cost per hours value ratio, because minus the substories, these games have a silly amount of content that is just plain silly. Its typically nothing more then trophy hunters to go after type content, so the proposition of actual "Good" content or "Substantial" content for price is average at best in my opinion, as the main story and I will include the mainline substories can typically take 20 - 30 hours. Its the silly fluff that puffs up the hours in the Yakuza series. I dont care about other games and what they do since this is a discussion on Yakuza and not a specific comparison to other games.
Despite the mini novel I wrote above though, I absolute do not believe the game should be less money though as this is where games are trending to nowadays.
You got somewhat of a point. But in my opinion You can safely count the Sidequests and even minigames in. I mean.. I was talking abouit the potential time :D and hey.. Yakuza 5 took me about 90 hours on first run and I did near to no minigames at all. mainly just Sidequests, those charakter Jobmissions and stuff. I'm not talking about 100% runs at all, just first playthrough. And in my opinion the Yakuza/like a Dragon Series really does a good job at the Time per Money thing.
There's no other Storygame Series coming to my mine with a better Time per hour rating..
There may be some but atm I can't think of any :)
I didnt add in the mini games to be honest since I dont see value in them, i.e. random fishing, picking up locker keys, etc but thats why I said from my point of view. I actually played the go cart and trash collecting game in Ichiban's story, those were actually pretty damn good.
It's like complaining on X then buy the product.
