Really enjoying the logic grid puzzles
I especially liked the one with the difficult one star puzzle with the huge grid. I used to play Go for years and the logic grid puzzles remind me a lot of the game, especially when groups have to be connected and how white and black snake out when next to each other on the edge. It also reminds me a lot of minesweeper.
Looking forward to the full game and more challenging grids. Can't wait!

The one involving walling off numbered areas while keeping all black cells connected is based on nurikabe, popularized by the Japanese company Nikoli who also brought us the sudoku craze. It should've gotten popular instead, and there're places you can play it like https://www.puzzle-nurikabe.com/

I also enjoy their Light Up and Slither Link fwiw.

That's pretty cool. Was doing 8x8 on Hard eventually. But I like the puzzles in the game more. They're more varied with the different rules you have to follow, and their hand crafted nature gives them a nice character.

:steamthis: This. With all the rules, the logic puzzles overlap so many types of puzzles I've seen. Plus, like with Sudoku, KenKen, Kakuro, etc., the reward is not so much in solving the puzzle, but in finding the logical path to the solution — it's like mathematically proving uniqueness.

Incidentally, it made solving the logic puzzle in the Sunday New York Times ("Light and Shadow") feel that much easier! Before that, I was merely reminded of Taiji.
