You can try unlocking all her traits to get a better view of what she's capable of, have fun :D
The main thing is that cancelling trait (which you can do with the dash key if that's easier) gives you a speed boost in the direction you are holding. By cycling between left click and 'dash' you can be surprisingly mobile whilst still doing some damage. Weave in your power on cooldown and bob's your uncle. You also have your actual dash you can pull out when needed.
Special is trickier to get used to due to the long animation lock and a range shorter than your wisp's but is worth it for the damage. Fun fact: if you attack first to bring out your wisp you can actually keep attacking (including using power) during said animation lock.
As for defence I only ever use that in emergencies to dodge roots and hooks and that' only if 'dash' into actual dash won't get me out in time. Except during the build that resets special's cooldown when casting defence, that one's surprisingly fun.
Also her base damage is pretty high.
That being said, I did notice she has a Chilled upgrade that I unlocked for her right click. Seems she can also shield allies in teamplay, which is pretty crazy.
Her damage is strong but it's fairly comparable to other characters. Beowulf is the one that I'd say stands out pretty impressively when it comes to damage. That ignite line is kind of absurd. I haven't seen anything that can keep up with his damage thus far. I think Aladdin and maybe Piper--haven't really played Piper--are the two that are a bit lower on the damage scale. Aladdin brings so much potential power to the table though that I don't really think it matters and piper has some rather nice utility.
The secret in this game is to every special/hability, use it in one more enemy. At least hit 2.
GGHF!
As other have mentioned her shield on wisp is a pretty power skill that can scale incredibly well. a lot of her power skills and double dip as well if you get the defensive skill where when you dive it causes a free powerful at that location.
As far as her wisp skill goes it has a few key mechanics that will make your life easier once you get used to using. First it can pick up dream shards and healing orbs, this is extremely helpful when you're running by medium sized dream clusters just throw your wisp break and suck them up and keep going. Next you can cast your tidal wave special while in wisp mode, I didn't realize this for awhile (my own fault) so positioning your character to cast it at oncoming enemies. I rarely using my trait to leave sing stance as I wait till the last moment then use my defensive or dodge to come out of it, this is just my preference but it seems easier to me. Lastly your wisp can attack slightly outside the range listed. it won't go far but if an enemy is slightly out it can dart out to hit them so no need to leave stance.
If your're playing solo try to get more damage oriented abilities your powerful skill is up quite quick and can output quite a bit of damage if used liberally. also your ultimate can be ended early by hitting the key or button for it again.
Been on a winstreak of 4 on the latest difficult(nightmare?) and i never build her special xD, i go for wisp teleport heal and build power everytime, glad to know theres another viable build, but i doubt it hits harder.
