Especially the 4 man scaling, I feel like I need to make sure to take things that boosts dps as much as possible, without wasting rerolls chasing master thief, that may not actually proc still.
To me, if I don't play around his wishes, it would be just for the "fun of it", but why??.
I also feel that using his wishes right away on stats is not worth it anymore imo, it's pbbly best saving it for rezzez, or for red genie on annoying grimoire spawns at least for the first map - potentially, even for the adds in the second boss red can be massive.
But mainly rezzez. I feel they made it much easier to die awkwardly in coop.
The stat gains have been nerfed quite a bit, and can't be rerolled, and you don't know what people will get, or do they even know what's best to take, I feel like certain characters that have innate high crit chance talents can use these little boosts to go over the top easily, like Scarlet/Beo/Carmilla, but again depends on the player/their luck getting the talents lol.
The stars are very useful, but...there's a chance you don't get them, or they end up doing nothing still...so..using the wishes on stats is really tricky. I personally try to save them till the last map and max the ult that guarantees two magic items instead, only then does it feel it pumps the team significantly, before that, the rezzez just feel much stronger, and gives a lot more "control" imo.
Obviously this depends on the skill level of who you are playing with as well.
So Talents like AA does more damage, gain enchantment points through defense, defense attack talent, Genie Sword are the talents that I think give a lot of oomf to Aladdin's dps without investing much. The vaccum effect on special/prolonged special is also honestly not bad, it's just a lot of enemies are not affected lol.
I feel like the +1 wish talent is just king, because it also increases the chance of every talent you get being upgraded, that means more value without investing shards, that I'd rather save fully to make wishes.
Playing around retalent in the shop also can be huge, if you get a legendary starting talent that is meh, reroll it asap to the +1 wish talent, that way each talent onwards has a much higher chance being of higher quality, that's a lot of shards spared.
Also retalent on the last chapter is an idea, get the free +3 wishes talent choice, and pump discounted wishes if you can afford to, then retalent to get the guaranteed +2 magic items on wish, make tons of stats.
Lastly I think holy grail/healing swords/mermaid tears, can make him a very decent sustain/supporty character.
I prioritise gold gaining items, leper coin, maxed egg, hope diamond lol. Cheaper shop is also honestly an option I try not to "reroll" out of.
Also ultimate cd reduction/charges.
