My money is on Hansel and Gretel for the 2 new hero's coming
Who else thinks its Hansel and Gretel? I'm already convinced it's them unless someone else has some other insane folklore-ish duo in mind, that I don't know about.

I have no money to contribute to this obscene display of wealth, but I am definitely hoping it is NOT Hansel and Gretel, to me bringing them in an "adult form" is just sooooo., why??, what's next? Rapunzel with short hair? I just don't get the appeal.

The game could use "badass children" kinda characters to give the roster variety, why not use Hansel and Gretel for that? Their weapons not revolving around "house of candy" or something would be just ugh!

I am hoping it'll be some sort of "official" french fable character, I was guessing Guinevere/Lancelot, but given the aesthetic reveal, probably not tbh.

I heard Constance/D'Artagnan from "The Three Musketeers" as a suggestion and imo it matches the aesthetic/weapons much better.

Neither are "super obviously well known like that" kinda characters, but Carmilla wasn't...so...maybe?

When I said Hansel and Gretel, it was to be expected that they'd be slightly modified and more grim/dark than what the kids story of them is about. They might be adding them to the game and doing something similar, like the movie Hansel and Gretel, and putting that into the game because. When looking at the character design shadows, it LOOKS LIKE it's a guy and girl but, I could definitely be wrong. The only "inseparable duo" that I know of, off the top of my head when I think of those words together and the description of them having "co-op bonuses together," would be Hansel and Gretel.

It's very easy to take folklore, or, childhood story characters and make them appear more grim to fit the narrative. I'm almost 100% certain that Scarlet is literally supposed to be Little Red Riding Hood but, they modified her to be cursed with wolf instead and etc. That wasn't hard at all and Scarlet is one of the biggest bad asses in this entire game. I'm honestly all for Hansel and Gretel but, I'm also open to whatever else they're adding in too because the game is just good in its entirety and almost all their characters are really fun to play.
I would be shocked if it wasn't Hansel and Gretel. They fit too well - there's even gingerbread in the game. I am a little disappointed they have to be played co-op though....as I am a solo player.

Wait...They HAVE to be played co-operatively? I thought they just got buffs/bonuses when played together. Where did you read it saying they HAVE to be played together, or, they can't be played at all?

^ there

"We're happy to announce that our first Hero DLC will include not one but TWO HEROES! You read that right. An inseparable duo will join the Ravenswatch next year. They’re also never one without the other and must be played together in co-op."

MUST be played together in co-op. Inseperable duo.

that's a bummer..
could've designed it to be playable solo with one button tag team mechanic like scarlet or sun yinyang stance..

Again there's a fair chance that this restriction is due to their kit being entwined and not working without one of the two (Cho'gall from Heroes of the Storm would be an example of this.)

If that's not the case however, then yes it's a pretty sad case.

I mean I think the idea behind these kinda "coop" characters, is to encourage multiplayer aka more people buying the game through referrals.

All I am saying is, that Hansel and Gretel movie didn't really compel me to try to even watch it at all (I think it was considered bad).

I think making the children hilariously edgy/dark candy monsters is a lot more "charming" than turning them to some typical seen it "Vampire/Vampire Slayers/Witch Hunter" aesthetic. Why take out the most iconic flavourful element of "Children in a House made of Candy" the story has?? I'd rather see them make a comeback as adult dentists or something? We'll see lol.

The attire seems too "aristocratic" though? It's a baltic story (inspired by a famine) and there are a lot of great "unique" looks to represent that easily I think?

Scarlet was done pretty well I agree, she has the "wolf hiding in human look", "wolf hunted", and the "girl in red" vibe combined. She is treated as a "child" by the rest of them though to take you to that "little red" vibe.

Anyways whoever they are...to me from their "look", I am not like SUPER anticipating the characters, I like overly magical/mythical characters/creatures, they appear to have a "normal people in a magical tale" vibe to them, their weapons are not "too unique" compared to what's already in the game, but their game-play likely will be fun regardless.

I'd like a magical beast type of character atp.

I do agree with your statement saying the shadows do look too aristocrat, it does make me wonder but, who would it be then? Who else would fit those silhouette's and is an "inseparable duo?" I'm not the most knowledgeable on folk lore, fairy tales etc. and I'm really curious.
Ironically enough I think the worst aspect of the game is the multiplayer. Its horrifically tuned and coordinating multiple people in a time sensitive game is not a great experience. I think they need to do a lot more balancing before a co - op duo takes two of the four spots.

I personally agree with the Constance/D'Artagnan take, or maybe a Victorian version of Romeo/Juliet. Constance and D'Art were in the right era (they wear 1800s-1900s clothing in the teaser; The Three Muskateers is 1840s) and have the right weapons - a pistol and a sword respectively.

Yea you guys put up some solid points. It definitely could be Romeo and Juliet. At first I thought "why, or how, would they add people like that into a game like this? But, then I thought of Scarlet who's basically Little Red Riding Hood, but cursed, and now it makes more sense. If they can pull off adding a childhood story character like that into this game, then Romeo and Juliet can easily be added too.

How about puss in boots? The cat pretends master is an aristocrat and ends up becoming one.

Just make the cat humanoid and with a hat and it could fit.

Pretty much what I thought, and I'd be surprised if it isn't them / an incarnation of those characters.
