I have steadily been pulling record numbers on him when I play with friends, sometimes as much as 40% of the total party damage, but I have a nagging suspicion I may be doing something wrong still.

It's still damage, right? I am helping, right? Clearing things with him outside solo still feels painfully slow.

Yes, he has so many different builds too. Two of my favorites are spamming rockets which seem to inherit crit chance; and the other is maxing out Flash of Genius via Sand of Enlightenment to get a bunch of items, then replacing it via sands of oblivion.

Just got the game. Loving the summoning style of Piper and can't wait to play him. My co-op partner got him on our playthrough and I unlocked....mermaid lady. :(

You have to defeat the first boss as Beowuilf to unlock Geppetto.

Definitely the simplest and most OP character when playing 4 person multiplayer, where melee drastically drops off due to the sheer volume of enemies and aoe attacks.

He makes it so easy to just drop summons and run around and let them do the work. Tons of amazing, game changing talents too. Starts a bit slow, like all builds, but with a couple levels is just autopilot

He always makes the run easier and gets most damage and healing in our group.
