cant invite or join games
clicking multiplayer does nothing I don't even have the option to invite friends through steam friends tab. I have no multiplayer code, and accepting an invite does nothing. I can't even click on the plus icons in the party

tested several multiplayer games and they all work, new computor so it was a possibility, but like I said they all work.

also the intro video hangs on startup.

added an exception through firewall ran both steam and the game as administrater. verified files, reinstalled game, restarted computor. no idea what to check or do now

Hello ZexxCrine,

Yes we see our servers had a brief outage yesterday night (CEST) and came back quickly, it should all be okay now.

We're sorry for the inconvenience!

check your NAT type in windows, or if windows firewall allow the game to go through the firewall?
Same problem, in other games the connection is good.

Update, all works. Don't know wat happens but this work.

I have some good/bad news for those following the topic.

i have fixed it myself. I did a clean install of windows. in a recent-ish windows update(I couldn't find any specifics) something had a potential of breaking where windows would claim you are offline even though you are not. there is a difference between programs that run that check and ones that do not. for instance many multiplayer games were perfectly functional for me but this one wasn't. i kept running into a hundful of more programs that for whatever reason would return that I had no internet connection.

if you are in this topic and want to check if this issue applies to you I found a quick way to check.

google parsec.
download parsec(should be quick which is why I use it to test mine)
try to sign in to parsec(you don't need to actually have an account just try to sign in)
if you get nothing and then the error code 800 failed request to v2/auth/ then you very likely have whatever issue I had and aside from someone magically finding the solution to a bunch of empty topics across the internet, you will very likely need to do a fresh install of windows.

if not windows or parsec doesn't return that error to you then I have no idea how to help you and I am sorry. good luck to you

that sounds exactly like strict NAT

Ah yes the strict NAT router settings that gets fixed when you clean install windows on a computer. Why didn’t I think of that?

Games and programs worked on another computer on the same internet. Thanks for not reading carefully though and posting nonsense. I appreciate it.
