Intangible and Ground Hazards

I've been playing a lot of Sun Wukong and I noticed that while intangible I still take damage from ground hazards (Spider poison, Gargoyle lava fire thing, etc.)

I just wonder if that's intended? It makes playing Wukong quite frustrating in chapter 3, as the Fire Gargoyles are everywhere.

If the aoe effect is a red solid colour filled area, intangible won't work.⚫
If it is just outlined it will. ◯

All the enemies you mentioned, yes that's their "thing"...also Big tree smash.

I think that they should find another word instead intangible or at least explain when you can be hit and when not.

Sometimes your character is not even visible but a random big aoe kills you
