Gamepad control
Developers, give me the opportunity to transfer character control from the stick to the gamepad cross. The crossbar in the menu works, so I don’t think it will be difficult to control the character.

Hey SilverNight,

It is noted and transmitted to our devs, we'll see what we can do about it.

Cheers,

Great, I will be glad if this happens)) Thank you for considering my idea

Hey SilverNight,

After speaking with our devs, it seems it is already possible. Could you please specify your issue?

Thank you!

Thank you for studying my request. My request is that the character's movements be on the D-pad arrows instead of the sticks. The thing is that I'm more used to it (yes, I'm a 90s gamer). In the Game, you can use the arrows to select tabs in the menu, but you can't use the arrows to control the character. The up arrow is used as a signal for the map. This means that the arrows are used by the game. Just move the character's movements to them - and that's it) The same signal can be moved to R1 or L1 or anywhere.

I use Google translator, so forgive me if I wrote it incorrectly

It's up to the developer to implement an option for D-Pad to control the character instead of the stick. For now, the player can do this with Steam Input.

Enable Steam Input before you start the game, then in the Controller Configurator, go to D-Pad, then for each direction, go the cogwheel icon and Add Sub Command. Then go to Gamepad on the top row menu, hover over to the Left Stick and choose its respective direction. Repeat for all four directions.

Once in game, before starting a run, go to the Controller Remapping in the options and change Quick Ping to a Stick Click or something (there aren't many more options). Otherwise, you'll ping every time you move up.

That being said, I don't recommend going this approach anyway. You need the full 360 degrees of rotation for your character movement and aiming your abilities. You have this advantage with the controller over mouse & keyboard, but limiting yourself just because "you're old-school" is not fun.

Maybe only do this if your controller doesn't have analog sticks, like the old Playstation One controller. :zagsnooze:

If you know a game like Hades, then you understand what kind of control I'm talking about (I don't think it's the hardest thing to do in 2024). In this game, I'm fine with both the accuracy of abilities and character control, as in many others where such control is implemented. The sticks themselves are inconvenient for me, and yes, sometimes I use different gamepads, including those without sticks. If you do as I suggest, then I and other players with a similar situation will be pleased)

I know this game called Hades, and I know that this control scheme (D-Pad for movement) is possible in Hades as an option, especially if played with Keyboard and Mouse using WASD for movement but pointing and clicking for aiming attacks and dodging. Ravenwatch already does this as well with Keyboard and Mouse. Having the worst of both is up to the player.

Yes, it is 2024, and we shouldn't have WASD be the standard for movement, but an option for these use-cases where players don't have analog sticks. This shouldn't be a priority request, a nice gesture for the disabled and stubborn.

The more options the game gives, the more opportunities it opens up for players. Especially since my request is not difficult. But whether to introduce this option or not is your decision. I just said what I want to see in the game
