on co-op some balancing and connectivity issue bugging me the most..
I mostly play normal diff cause i don't wanna waste 40 mins for a stressful game...
winning the game is already feels good
some ppl might not agree with that. but it's fun to see skins and stuffs. I like the nerdy stuffs like art and stories, I'd love to read them after.
they have cinematic teasers and trailers, why not put them IN THE GAME?!?!?!.... it's mind boggling.
not constructive. I'm not achivement hunter nor cosmetic addicts. The game needs variety if it leans toward co-op experience. look at tons of multiplayer games out there, peter. there are lots of video games that are not vampire survivors clone.
TLDR: the reward is enjoying the game and having fun.
im done with this community lmao.
I can't wait for the new characters that they might release. I do agree with that it could use a certain element of..."progression" beyond the character levels, just to retain playing interest a bit longer.
Because to me personally..once I figure a character, it's unto the next...until I was done..then I just got over the game tbh.
The multiplayer aspect is fun and very interesting for sure, and *that* is what added an interesting type of randomness to replay the game as much as I did...but I dunno if it's enough.
Like a motivation to actually play the "challenging" modes options would really help I feel...what that should look like not sure. Also a little more variation on the "kind" of repetition aka the same 3 old maps. Like not to be greedy but if there is are a few other maps introduced that you "randomly" might end up in...that might keep things fresh a bit longer?? I am not super sure though tbh.
I think also the build variations each character has...is not as "interesting?" as they may seem..most of them feel like they have a glaring ideal thing to play around, while..the rest of options makes you question why do this to your self?...just imo...not a super big deal though, I dunno. I think that can be looked at much later.
But overall I really appreciate the effort put into the game, I feel like the team behind it is definitely talented and are interested in being creative. The mechanics are interesting and fun. The visuals are pretty good and surprisingly not eye straining, and the game runs smooth.
Just waiting for all of the characters as a total experience and finished product though, and what is the actual game pricing going to be. Maybe with all the characters combined it'll really feel "loaded" enough? hoping for the best! EA life!
I love gameplay, the talent system, the memoir is so amazing it makes me wants to maxed out each heroes rank just to unlock the memoir.
My problem with the game is that
1. 20 mins per chapter is too short for me maybe because im not really good at the game (im on the 3rd difficulty).
2. Each difficulty gives more penalty (like less exp, less heals from orb, more corrupted enemies) without giving you any bonus (like meta progression).
3. No meta progression means if you cant beat the game solo your only solution is to "git gud".
I dont know what other ppl think, but to me personally if the game has meta progression like giving starting base stats (vitality, damage and armor) or increase certain hidden stats (crit chance/damage, amount of heals received/given or dream shard received) it will be more enjoyable.
you specifically asked for rewards for playing like skins, cosmetics and shiny things. basically saying enjoying the gameplay wasn't worth the price of the game. if they want to add in DLC thats one thing but asking for rewards so you feel better about playing the game means you're not playing games to enjoy them but to be rewarded. you're litterally addicted to being rewarded and don't enjoy something that is fun to do without said rewards.
Games used to be about playing them, not how much swag and cool stuff I can collect. this new generation of gamer is the reason we have repetitive grinding for hours on end just to unlock something silly.
I agree with you, meta progression in stats can make difficulty modifier enjoyable, call it prepared strategy since this game offers character Builds and stuff like that. Wearable Items is great consideration tbh. play the game, get rewarded with non game breaking equipment. I'm happy with that.
you got me wrong bud. I spurn a fact of what is going on with ARPG loots and assets variation.
I actually play Warcraft and Diablo with a CD back in the day. it's a cool collectible stuff which was rewarding, am I a blizzard addict? No, I jack sparrowed them nowadays.
see aetemes post if you need reference for critical thinking. less ad hominem pls.
so sorry if I got your ego attacked fr
I mean, the core gameplay is great. You've got 8 very different characters (and it's still early access) which is enough for dozens or even hundreds of hours.
Glad someone else pointed it out because at least i'm not the only one noticing his flip floping.
I thought it would have changed from earlier patches, but it feels the same. A lot of walking and avoiding fights cause everything feels like a timesink trap. You follow a script and hopefully you won't get too much behind in the progression. Maybe it's a skill issue, but damn, that is so boring that I see no reason to get good at it, easier modes are more fun for me. I enjoy hard games, I loved Curse of the dead gods, but this one still feels a little off for me on hardest. Maybe if the early game pacing was a little faster, idk.
I actually recommend the game for people, I think it is fun, but I usually tell them to not bother with the hardest mode cause the game stop being a roguelike full of decision making and becomes a souls-like with a boring script to follow
