there is an item in the game called baba yaga's mirror.
I have a feeling they were just mentioning baba yaga maybe an NPC or an event character planned.
Let me elaborate for him.
The item states that Baba Yaga revives you with a permanent buff and debuff. This implies that Baba Yaga is the one who revives the players when they fall; thus the argument that she can't be a playable character any more than the Sandman could be since she is an NPC that represents a mechanic.
Yeah honestly I just didn't feel like arguing my point. I kind of hope they stick to more lesser known heroes or atleast lesser known to me.
Was a blast looking up Melusine and learning something new, outside the movie 16 years ago beowulf is another fairly unknown character. Christian Andersen snow queen is another one that most people I think assume is snow white.
I think baba yaga would of been an interesting and fairly unknown character to most but since she's technically being used in game as a mechanic and item I'm not sure if she will show up.
And Honestly I keep seeing people say Arthur and Robin hood... Not that these aren't interesting characters but Arthur has been done to death, I'd rather see some other knight (Mordred maybe as he wasn't inherently evil)
Instead or robinhood I think someone like william tell or chiron the centaur would make a more interesting and less used character.
Of course, since we can make this dark, it could be that Baba Yaga herself was crippled by the monsters and so is stuck in a chair in the house, forced to give Vasilisa all her witch's tools to do anything. If she gets attacked, she starts yelling at Vasilisa and the doll to stop being useless.
