There is a really good roguelike called Tribes of Midgard which has you attempt to speedrun 4 (5 soon) boss kills which requires coordination between friends all doing separate objectives to achieve. At day 14, Fimbulwinter starts and while you can still technically kill the bosses, your town is under a permanent siege by increasingly difficult enemies. If your world tree at the center of town is destroyed, you lose and and lose your rewards. You can leave the world at any time, but each boss kill multiplies your rewards.
Anyways, Tribes is dope because it requires high coordination and focus to kill every boss. It's borderline impossible solo and may become so with the 5th boss next week, and with friends it's a high challenge. I love the format though, randomly generated worlds within a roguelike that presses you for time is great. Plus only chapter 1 of Ravenswatch will be available at launch, I bet that when the full game comes out you can play through all 3 chapters in one sitting which would put you on like a 72 minute time limit to do everything, sounds super fun to try and get a build together under the stress of a timer to clear the game successfully.
i would rather have the time mechanic as a dificult setting, the longer you take, the boss gets harder like RoR , Like you said, or to not have time at all and explore the zone at my on pace.
rn it LOOKS like a speed running game...
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“When Early Access opens, Ravenswatch will include the first chapter, six playable heroes and a wide range of items to unlock in single-player mode and in online co-op. You can fight a variety of enemies, mini bosses and the final boss of the first chapter. You can also challenge yourself with different difficulty settings.”
