Awesome... the patch worked.
I used the pcloud link, d/l'ed ver. 1.8. as a Zip file.
extracted and simply moved the ver. 1.8 file to the above mentioned location (Steam/Steamapps etc...)... there is another much larger file with the same name already there... keep both files. easy peasy.
