Been playing this since the EA days and it's been a blast. The base game is an epic romp Nordic themed areas that is quite enjoyable to play. Some of the characters are frustrating to play but there's the feeling of "just one more run" to get that synergy that really makes the character shine. Exploration is rewarded with more items, gold, buffs, and sometimes shenanigans from mobs invading from other realms. There's even daily runs that will either have you feeling like you're steam rolling everything or so frustrating you'll want to pull your hair out and sometimes a mix of those two.

Absolutely brilliant game. Really scratches that Norse Mythology itch for me while also being therapy for my ADHD. Thank you Noxfall Studios!

If you get the base game, great. It's fun with the different characters and their attacks and while you might find it slow at the start it builds very well.

AVOID the Remnants of Corruption DLC until reviews say it is balanced.
It's far from balanced, has no explanations, no 'lore' if that would explain anything and it's not so much grindy as just boring.
Play, die, get useless shards, maybe get an orb - there is no tree guide, and the Tower tree and the main game tree are entirely unrelated - and then hey, do it again. This time no Orb.
